Coachella Showed Us That Justin Bieber is in His Healing Era: Tour, Past Trauma, and Hailey info

Justin Bieber’s huge return to Coachella marked by him smiling on stage, interacting with fans, harmonizing with his old self came as a shock to everyone… including him.

The man who’s been flipping out on the industry for nearly a decade has set boundaries that the adults around him never cared to—and he was shamed for it… until Coachella.

Suddenly, everyone is riding the Bieber chain and Bieber fever is back with a new strain that’s infected adult men, OG Beliebers, millennials, locals, and everyone alike.

And your girls here at Scandalous Media can happily say that they’ve seen every single phase over the last 10+ years, even the phase where the Biebers themselves were reading the blog. Shoutout to those Twitter follows iykyk.

Leading Up To Coachella

"Justin knew that this would be his biggest return to music since Yummy, which I have to tell you more about that actually, so he has a lot in store for this weekend.” — my source

I got that sentence and baby I WAS SAT!

I heard “a lot in store” and said lemme tweet!

My source told me that Justin was on his A game, prepping for the two big weekends.

“He’s eating healthy, not smoking or drinking, so he doesn’t irritate his voice, and connecting with his old self.” — my source

I thought that meant doing inner work, but she literally meant connecting… with… his… old… self…

“Justin is going into this performance by doing it on his own terms… Justin style. He doesn’t really care what the standard for Coachella is. He’s gonna perform his way and the organizers are letting him rock because they’re happy that he even agreed to perform.” — my source

He wanted to come back to remind everyone who he is and that he still got it.

“He’s not allowed to perform old songs.”

Yeah, he is…. he performed them, did he not? But here’s random tea I sent someone who DMed me on IG.

After Weekend One

My source explains that going into weekend 1, Justin was very much on a “I don’t give one f-ck what they like” attitude.

He was a little pessimistic in the sense that he was defensive. He has that Yummy and Justice trauma, so he was extra unapologetic. He knew what people were going to say. ‘That’s it?’ But then everyone loved it! He ended up loving how weekened 1 went, so he was extra pumped for weekend 2 and I’m sure you could tell the difference.” — my source

Weekend 2 had a lot more energy with Justin going down to sing with the fans, letting them touch him for what felt like the first time since he implemented his photo ban, and overall… the energy was different.

He seemed more confident on stage and even happier.

“When you take away the pressure to perform—forcing him into choreo he’s outgrown, and making him go the traditional route, you end up with an angry Justin. That’s what the Justice Tour was all about. He didn’t want to be forced into doing a big production or choreo that he used to do in 2015. But that’s what worked in the past and that’s what his team made him do. Coachella was all him. He’s negotiating it, he’s okaying things, and therefore it’s on his terms. Not forcing him to do anything makes everything run seamlessly.” — my source

Even when it came to his old songs, they floated the idea that he dresses up in his iconic suit for nostalgic purposes, but my source tells me that Justin was hellbent on it being all Swag feat. old music. Not old music feat. Swag.

“Justin is proud of Swag. He’s making music he’s always wanted to make because he doesn’t care about charting or numbers. Of course, he’s Justin Bieber, so that comes easily to him, but he wanted this performance to showcase his artistic and vocal talents. He wanted to play producer on stage and that’s what he did. Hailey supports everything he does while giving him advice because she knows Justin doesn’t like to be controlled. He needs his creative freedom, and it worked in his favor.” — my source

She tells me that he wants to return for this new part of his life. He doesn’t want his career plagued by his past and that trauma. He’s very much on a new beginnings high. He wants to replace the bad memories with good.

This might be the era that they thought Changes/Justice would be.

“With his Coachella performance such a hit and the general public’s positive reaction, it has not only restored Justin’s confidence in himself that he knows what’s best for him, but also his new team. He’s not being looked at as some moody kid who doesn’t know business, but rather a man who knows what’s good for him and more importantly… what’s going to work.” — my source

My source also told me that she heard he had a support system in place after the show, just to make sure everything is good for next week. Not like a babysitter, but I guess someone to make sure he doesn’t book an emergency ticket to Tokyo and dip on everyone.

Kidding… kidding?

Is he going to tour?

My source told me that before Coachella, his circle knew that there would be demand because they saw that he was selling the most tickets. So they floated the idea of a tour.

This is them: “Hey JB…. TRIGGER WARNING!! But what do you think about a tour?”

After Justin was announced as a Coachella performer in September 2025, my source told me that Justin “only wants to perform one-off shows here and there. No big commitment. He doesn’t do well with that. He would tour, but it has to be something less than a month long. One-off shows are what I’m hearing.”

This was fall 2025. My source told me that creating Swag really got Justin's creative juices flowing, and he fell back in love with making music for the love of it, not because it was a contractual obligation.

“He loves the songs so much, he just wants to perform them,” my source added.

In January 2026, Puck News reported that sources are saying that he only wants to play 10 to 12 shows, which is on brand with what my sources are saying.

And after Justin’s first night at Coachella, the audience started begging for a tour. I replied to the following, relaying what my source said about one-off shows.

I said that because of the following message from my source:

“He had such a great time performing and his circle hasn’t seen that from him since the early Believe Tour days. Just doing it for the love of the game. He’s being convinced to tour, but I’m not confident he’s going to. They’re going to start teasing a tour in hopes that it shows him the demand. What has been brewing for the past few months is a small tour or one-off days.” —my source

Fans are hoping for an official announcement because of this page on his website:

“He’s been dipping his toes back into performing, but he doesn’t want the entire spectacle of a tour. He wants small, intimate shows similar to the LA one he did, where fans paid around $20 for a ticket. The issue with that is he can’t do something like that worldwide. There are too many expenses and travel if he were to do small shows all over the US. He’d love to do intimate shows like the ones before, but that only worked because it was in LA and everyone was ready to go. The only reason it wasn’t a free show was just for renting out the small venues. He didn’t even pay himself for those shows.” —my source

Leave it to Justin wanting to torture the world by performing in theaters acting like there’s not worldwide demand lmaoooooo

Think they’ll invite your girls to an exclusive show? Or was I doing free damage control for no reason?? Sorry, we’re getting off topic.

I asked my source, “Okay, so does that mean a Swag tour or what?”

My source said, “To my knowledge, there will be small shows announced. That was always the plan. It’s not like he waited for Coachella to realize there was demand. The demand was always there; the issue was if he wanted to perform or not. Coachella showed him that he does, and big crowds don’t automatically mean being roped into a long tour against his will, like what happened with Justice.”

A full-blown tour being announced? No. That will be extremely shocking to hear. He can’t handle that, and he refuses to be away from Jack for that long. I know Hailey told him that she and Jack would come on the road with him, but he has a lot of trauma with being on the road.”

“And now, being in his 30s, it’s more exhausting for him. Definitely a small number of shows to be announced. How big will it be, venue-wise, and the number of shows is something I don’t know.” —my source

My source tells me that things are being finalized NOW. The only pro of going on tour is making a lot of money to make up for the loss and debts of the Justice Tour.

Everything is basically up in the air because Justin was shocked to actually perform for a huge crowd and enjoy it.

It’s not that he was shocked by his love to perform; he loves to sing, we know that. He was shocked that he was able to commit to a big performance with a huge crowd and didn’t want to join NASA and abort Earth in the aftermath.

“I think he believes that he can commit to something bigger if it’s on his own terms. One thing I can tell you for sure, he’s not being forced to do anything now, and he doesn’t report back to anyone. That alone is a burden that has made him just lighter to be around.” — my source

sdhsjkdhsk his team probably holding their breath when they talk to him. Who is his team, you may ask? Hailey and Jack 😭

Kidding, but not really.

He has a small circle of friends he trusts to give their opinions on his music and what he should do, and Hailey is part of that team.

Baby Jack is too, because he’s concerned about him 24/7.

Justin is finally living the life he’s always wanted:

  • music on his terms

  • being a father

  • being a husband

He’s in his grateful era and we could see that in his song, Everything Hallelujah.

Now moving away from the happiness and nostalgia of Coachella… let’s dip our toes into a swamp.

The Yummy era and Justice tour.

Idk about yall, but I actually loved both albums.

The Past… Wasn’t The Right Season

My source revealed some tea that even shocked me!

My source told me that his comeback with Yummy, Changes, and Justice was something that he wasn’t ready for, and it soured everything moving forward.

What we see today: people accepting Justin, acknowledging his trauma, how unfair the industry was to him, how dirty people did him, and how he made mistakes, but he’s not inherently a bad person… was something that his old team forced back in the day.

“He wasn’t ready to do the whole Seasons documentary, open up that way on Lonely, and come back full force with traditional promo, specifically those interviews he did when he broke down. That’s why for the Justice tour, he completely ghosted the promo part. He refused to speak.” — my source

“He felt like ‘I poured my heart out to everyone. I opened up about my drug problems. My disease. How lonely I felt in the industry. How everyone I trusted turned on me. And what everyone got from that was I’m forced into this marriage, I fell off, and I’m a bad guy? F-ck you guys.’ He felt exposed for no reason. I don’t think he was ready to be vulnerable with the world and force them to see what he went through.”

It was an angle that they were trying to work and I guess it was too ahead of its time.

People hadn’t woken up to the evils of the industry and who the victims of it were. They thought all his issues stemmed from a toxic relationship that the world favored, but it was more than that.

However, it worked out in his favor since the reaction his old team tried to get from the public came naturally this time around.

Instead of forcing people or trying to make people sympathize with Justin, his natural disappearance and anger at the industry… brought that naturally.

That plus everything being exposed on Epstein, Usher, people reflecting on what happened to Justin in front of us, and more.

People are just happy that Justin is alive and performing again, even if that meant watching memes on stage.

he’s so unserious

This is also why when the Diddy stuff came out… my source told us that Justin doesn’t want and doesn’t like his name being associated with him. He’s not here to sell you his trauma and hope you accept him. He doesn’t care anymore. Maybe he is healing after all.

When things like this surface in public, it doesn’t mean victims are suddenly ready to face what happened or talk about it. If anything, it’s triggering. But as I said, I haven’t heard of anything regarding Justin and Diddy. It was Usher’s name that kept coming up so…

10 years ago, we called out his parents for practically selling him out to the industry. Where are they now?

My source does tell me they’re cordial though. It’s his parents, so he’ll always love them, but he hopes that he can be the parent for Jack that he wished he had.

A lot of people are now realizing that his issues didn’t just stem from a teenage relationship, but it was a layered situation.

As I’ve said in multiple posts over the years, he came with a lot of preexisting trauma and baggage that was uncovered during his relationship with Hailey because that’s the first relationship he’s been in where he didn’t have to PERFORM. And when you strip back that layer, you get raw trauma and oftentimes… that’s ugly.

Justin and Hailey couldn’t breathe without the Internet on their throats to get a divorce. Everyone was blaming Hailey for making him miserable, and even though they had A LOT of issues in their marriage, as I’ve spoken about, their marriage is something they choose every single day.

You choose to love someone. You choose to work on it. And now everyone is like oh they seem more in love than they ever have before.

Yeah… because those difficult years with Justin’s childhood trauma and industry trauma coming up? Hailey didn’t leave and he didn’t either. They fixed it together. A lot of people believe that she deserves better and whatnot, but she also chose Justin and choosing Justin meant choosing the chaos and trauma.

And let’s not pretend that the Bieber name didn’t open up a whole new world for her.

The biggest issue in Justin and Hailey’s marriage was Hailey not having kids right away because he was under the impression that they would have a kid right after they got married.

Of course, leave it to Mr. Delusion over here to think that he was mentally ready to have a kid when he was crying every day, but shoutout to our veteran-reader-circa-2016 Hailey, for knowing that he had to get it together and that she had to build her career as well, before that.

Because now, Jack can grow up in a home where Daddy isn’t doing drugs to appeal to his teenage son like Jeremy.

Don’t forget that we were the first and only source to break the news that they were actively trying for a baby 😉

Random venting-yelling-session-please-disregard:

And you know what? Shoutout to US and our readers for having experienced psychosis with our tongues going dry and our fingers cramping having been repeated this story for a decade. Those gaslighters who lived in our comment section had me tweaking on my source, but baby, there’s a reason we are here 13 years later, and you’re the ones reading.

Okay, show’s over.

Let’s get back into a different conversation

Justin’s Competiveness: A Double-Edged Sword

Unpopular opinion alert!

Every source I spoke to about Justin and his falling out with his old team hasn’t had anything crazy to say. The craziest tea I got about that was Justin not being ready to open up the way he did for Seasons and the songs he did during that time.

Now that he’s in the process of healing and not hating, he doesn’t require that validation, and as the laws of physics tell us, he already got that acceptance from people once he stopped looking for it.

Justice was released right after Changes because both he and his team were competitive. It wasn’t just Scooter. Justin wanted to be all in, but he was in over his head, too. He thought he’d be ready to go back now that he had Hailey, and he conquered the portion of his life where we thought he would die in the middle of the night. But he was simply not ready, and his resentment came up during this era, specifically after he cancelled the Justice tour. The stress was a silent killer for him.” — my source

My other OG source had also said this years ago… everything went downhill with his team happened once he cancelled the Justice Tour, and not to be a Scooter truther… but to our knowledge, we’re not clear on what else happened to warrant Justin banning him from his life.

My source believes that it was essentially Scooter being money-hungry and constantly milking Justin for money.

“I don’t know if anything else went down, but Justin felt like Scooter didn’t care about him as a person and just wanted money from him. I think he resents him for not protecting him from the evils of the industry and guiding him. He’s also very close to Usher, and you already know that story. Justin felt like his old team was conspiring against him so he dropped them all and then some.” — my source

Justin has always wanted his redemption arc, and it’s been in the works for a decade.

On Purpose, “I’ll Show You” is Justin’s pledge that he’s a real person that no one will ever know, but he’s gonna show you all what he’s capable of.

On Changes, the album track was Justin’s plea that he’s still the same person, but he’s been through a lot of hardship.

And finally on Swag, “Speed Demon” is Justin being unapologetic, admitting to cutting people off, working on himself for his family, and refusing to be gaslit by the public that never gave him the time of day.

Start focusing more on what brotha says because his story is told through his songs. Trust me, it’s not some manufactured BS, but you already knew that.

To my surprise, my source said that she sees Justin reuniting with some of them in the future when things settle down because they were competitive and wanted money, but so did he.

It was a double-edged sword.

It kind of reminds me of Demi Lovato’s fallout with her team when it came to how they handled her ED, but at the same time, everyone was walking on eggshells around her if there was a cupcake. So it was damned if she ate, and damned if she didn’t.

And even though her team went about things wrong, Demi now takes responsibility for how she acted during that time, understanding that her triggers are her responsibility and not everyone else’s.

In the case of Justin… he literally feels like they not only delivered him to the lion’s den, but trapped him inside.

There were a lot of moments where they acted like family, too, but as we mentioned earlier, the Changes and Justice era was a massive trigger point for Justin and his team.

And I’m conflicted about things like this because I’m just a writer at the end of the day, so I don’t know the extent of what Justin endured… but my entire debut was about how Justin was doing self-destructive things every day, and his team (mainly Scooter and Allison Kaye) unofficially had the role of his parents.

They had to make sure he wouldn’t die in the middle of the night. So are his issues with them really all about the Justice tour being cancelled and how they treated him during that era, or is there more to the story?

You guys tell me!

This wraps up this long-awaited JB update covering everything from his Coachella performance, upcoming performances, relationship with Hailey, new info about Jack, issues with his old team, and more.
