Everything You Need to Know About the Ellen DeGeneres Scandal: Why Celebrities Want to Stay in her Good Graces and What's Going to Happen

Michael Rozman via Associated Press

Ellen DeGeneres is known as one of the most famous talk show hosts today. The Ellen DeGeneres show premiered in 2003 and it has 17 seasons to date. Ellen made an entire career on being authentic and nice. That was her whole persona—she’s kind and that she brings that wholesome factor when celebrities are on her show. She was seen as the funny and quirky host who would still manage to get the inside scoop from celebrities. That all changed earlier this year when she started getting called out by fellow celebrities and industry people.

What Started It All

Ellen has been facing backlash for some time now, but the domino that really exploded in her face is when Kevin T. Porter, a podcast host, called her out on Twitter and said, “She’s also notoriously one of the meanest people alive.” His tweet went viral.

Link here.

His tweet was met with some bizarre moments of Ellen being mean to the point where it started having people thinking that she’s narcissistic and plain out evil. I’m not going to include everything that was said because Twitter is known to run rampant with lies, but I’m going to show some of the replies to the tweets that came from verified accounts. Verified accounts tend to be more credible since their legal name is out there and it’s something that can trace back to them in the industry or at work, if it’s a lie.

Just from these three experiences alone, you can already get a feel of who Ellen is as a person.

  • “She polices her crew’s lunch orders” — she can do whatever she wants, but no one else can do something basic such as order what they want for lunch.

  • “She openly expressed deep disdain for her audience and her own show - resents it all” — so she treats people like trash because she hates everyone yet she’s making hundreds of millions of dollars.

  • “Who do you think you are? You don’t look at me” — she thinks she’s better than everyone else. Remember this one.

The explosion of replies and support from the public prompted her own CREW to speak up. That’s when Variety reported in April that her crew is furious over poor communication about pay and more during the coronavirus shutdown. You can read their article here, but I’ll be summarizing all the main points.

Practically Replacing Her Staff and Not Paying Them During the Coronavirus Shutdown

Photo: Brooks Kraft/Getty Images

Two sources reported that during the coronavirus shutdown, the core stage crew wasn’t notified in writing about the status of their working hours, pay, or even asking about their mental and physical health for over a month. They got even angrier when the show decided to hire an outside non-union tech company that aided in Ellen taping her show from her home.

So they were basically replaced for the time being and weren’t even given any heads-up about anything including their salary.

When the crew members were FINALLY contacted by production executives, they were told to expect their pay to be reduced by 60%. Ellen was still making BANK considering the show was still running and yet they were decreasing the pay of the core stage crew members in the middle of a PANDEMIC.

And judging by them not even being notified of their pay and them stating that they didn’t even ask about their physical or mental health, it tells me that even if they got the virus, no one asked about them. Yet Ellen was crying in her mansion about how she feels like she’s in jail during this pandemic.

Two different realities.

Out of the 30+ core stage crew that was working on the show, only four of them were working alongside Ellen on the remote version of the show. They found this ironic for Ellen considering she preaches daily to her audience to “be kind” and yet this was going on behind the scenes. It was just very shady.

Variety reports that a spokesperson for Warner Bros. Television said that, “Our executive producers are committed to taking care of our staff and crew and have made decisions first and foremost with them in mind.” However, crew members were saying that from late March until April 9, they still had no idea how much they were going to be paid and if they were going to be paid at all.

No one from Ellen’s camp was being transparent and it started worrying the crew members that they were going to be unemployed. They didn’t know if they should explore unemployment benefits since in most cases, the original crew was supposed to be working on the remote version. But as already stated, Ellen had an outside company for that and continued to keep her crew in the dark.

Insanity.

STEVE GRANITZ/GETTY IMAGES

Not only was Ellen still on the air, but she expanded the number of shows that she put out a week—going from 4 shows to 5. The crew members said that they continued to experience radio silence from the producers which aided in their anxiety and fear of being unemployed.

Through social media posts from colleagues working in other departments, the majority of the crew found out that Ellen had a remote set at her house where she was taping. Basically, they weren’t notified of anything happening.

See this content in the original post

A Warner Bros. spokesperson said that no crew member lost a job in the hiring of Key Code, the non-union tech company that was hired during the show’s remote filming. This doesn’t sit right with me because they’re saying “well you didn’t lose your job” and yet… the crew received radio silence when asked about their pay AND were told they would be reduced by 60%! In the midst of a pandemic!

When Ellen returned to air on April 7, she said that she “wanted to start doing my new show as soon as possible. I love them [the staff and crew], I miss them, the best thing I can do to support them is to keep the show on the air.”

Imagine you’re part of Ellen’s crew. You’re sitting at home receiving no communication about the state of your job and your payment. Instead, you’re being told that your payment is going to be reduced by 60%. And yet Ellen is on air saying that the best thing she can do you for you, is to keep the show on the air.

And yet, she. wasn’t. paying. you.

Being distraught by the communications from Ellen’s team, the crew was trying to get information from their colleagues on similar shows. What they found out is that their colleagues were having opposite experiences from theirs. While Ellen and Warner Bros. were blaming the pandemic on messy situations, the crew that worked on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” had a different experience.

Variety reports that the stagehands were paid from Jimmy’s OWN POCKET as everything first shut down and that when they were working at home, ABC network was paying their FULL rates. They also listed other shows, “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” “Frontal with Samantha Bee,” and “Desus & Mero” had transparent communication with their employees and are paying full rates.

See this content in the original post

Arguably, Ellen’s show is a lot more famous than those shows and her salary is significantly higher. So it’s funny how the show that is more popular and is making more money, isn’t paying their staff nor communicating with them. Yet Ellen is still making money and saying her ironic phrase “be kind” as her crew was suffering behind the scenes.

Someone in the comments of Variety’s article said, “Get in line with the rest of the working class and file for unemployment.”

What a tone deaf comment to make… however, a person replied saying “The rest of the world doesn’t work for someone who makes $50 mil a year. Ellen could afford to pay her staff and should.”

If other similar shows that can do the BARE MINIMUM and pay their employees during the pandemic, Ellen has no reason not to.

This whole thing prompted former employees to speak up and say that it’s not just the pandemic that’s getting Ellen to act like this. Turns out, Ellen actually creates a toxic work culture!

The Toxic Work Culture

Ten former employees of Ellen and a current employee spoke to BuzzFeed News and provided some more information. They all asked to remain anonymous out of fear that Ellen will retaliate.

A former employee of Ellen’s spoke to BuzzFeed News and said, “That ‘be kind’ bullsh-t only happens when the cameras are on. It’s all for show. I know they give money to people and help them out, but it’s for show.”

It actually gets worse.

Everything that was said is practically surface level sh-t. Y’all ready?

See this content in the original post

Some employees said that they were FIRED after they took medical leave or bereavement days to attend FAMILY FUNERALS.

“Bereavement leave is paid leave which is available to an employee at the time of death or funeral of a member of the employee's immediate family.”

Can you IMAGINE getting f-cking fired for attending a funeral? This one is shocking to hear because this is the first time I’m really looking into Ellen’s scandal and this specific detail didn’t get the attention it deserved.

Another employee said that she was fed up with comments about her race, so she quit while others were told by their managers not to speak to Ellen if they saw her around the office.

Remember that “Who do you think you are? You don’t look at me” comment from earlier?

Even though the majority of the former employees blamed the executive producers and senior managers for a lot of the toxicity that happened on the day-to-day average, one former employee states that Ellen needs to take responsibility because it’s HER SHOW.

They told BuzzFeed News that, “If she wants to have her own show and have her name on the show title, she needs to be more involved to see what's going on. I think the executive producers surround her and tell her, ‘Things are going great, everybody's happy,’ and she just believes that, but it's her responsibility to go beyond that.”

See this content in the original post

Another thing that I’d like to point out is that it’s not like Ellen was being a peach to employees and it was the upper hand people who were creating this environment. Ellen herself is already noted to be horrible to work with and what Ellen promotes and allows in her workplace, will obviously carry on throughout.

BuzzFeed News reports that a Black woman who is a former employee of Ellen, “experienced racist comments, actions, and ‘microaggressions’ during her year and a half as an employee.” She also said that a “senior-level producer told her and another Black employee, ‘Oh wow, you both have box braids; I hope we don’t get you confused.’ And at a work party, she said, one of the main writers told her, ‘I’m sorry, I only know the names of the white people who work here,’ and other coworkers ‘awkwardly laughed it off’ instead of coming to her defense.

I love irony.

Of course we always expect racism to make it into the toxic work environment. I mean that’s how normalized racism is so you always expect some racist sh-t going down as well. And we’ll get to how Ellen acted on her show and how it’s appaling to think that she got away with all of it up until now.

BuzzFeed’s article got more in-depth with everything so I’m just going to summarize some of the things that were said.

These upcoming experiences from former employees are supported by at least other 4 former employees as witnesses and accompanied with medical records as proof.

Trigger warning: addiction, mental health, suicide.

See this content in the original post

One employee said that they took medical leave for a month to check into a mental health facility because of a suicide attempt, but the week they returned to work, they were told that their position has been eliminated. This person provided medical records and had 4 witnesses that this happened.

They said, “You’d think that if someone just tried to kill themselves, you don’t want to add any more stress to their lives. Some of the producers talk openly in public about addiction and mental health awareness, but they’re the reason there’s a stigma. They definitely don’t practice what they preach with the ‘be kind’ mantra.”

Another former employee says that they were fired after taking time off for three unfortunate circumstances. The first two were family member funerals and the other was when they took time off because they were in a car accident. They also said that each request was a battle with their supervisors and human resources (HR).

Another former employee said that they were giving a warning for creating a GoFundMe campaign to cover their medical costs since the company’s health insurance didn’t. They were told to take it down because they didn’t want it to hurt Ellen’s image.

“They discovered my fundraiser, then got mad at me. … They were more concerned about Ellen’s brand instead of helping me out.”

See this content in the original post

Employees claimed that they worked in fear and that if they had an issue, they shouldn’t bring it up. Some employees who were less experienced and unaware of what a work environment should be like were favored because they practically gave into unfair demands and worked 10+ hour days without complaint. So basically ignore all the toxicity and be “likable” so you can be favored despite you working unfair circumstances.

Yeah Ellen, tell me about it.

One employee said that they didn’t even feel safe going to their managers because these people were the same ones that would wait for them to go to the bathroom and then message them saying where are they and why weren’t they on their desk.

All of this launched a workplace investigation of the show.

That should cover the toxic work environment on the show. Now you may argue that “well this is the fault of the producers and other bosses, but not Ellen.” Yes, but it’s Ellen’s show. It’s HER responsibility to make sure that HER show isn’t run that way. This statement would probably even hold up an argument IF there wasn’t sufficient evidence to back up how horrible of a person Ellen herself is. We’re going to get to that in the next part of this post, but before I close up this section, I’m going to show you Ellen’s response to everything since I want to be transparent and give you guys the full and best story.

See this content in the original post

On July 30th, she addressed the workplace allegations in a letter to her staff. She said that she is taking responsibility by concurring a workplace investigation, but that she wasn’t fully accountable for everything since she put the producers who were in charge of the day-to-day.

She wrote:

As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.

I’m also learning that people who work with me and for me are speaking on my behalf and misrepresenting who I am and that has to stop. As someone who was judged and nearly lost everything for just being who I am, I truly understand and have deep compassion for those being looked at differently, or treated unfairly, not equal, or — worse — disregarded.

Getty Images

Notice how she included some pity for herself in her statement? She’s so manipulative and she’s already playing the victim role.

Going back to what I wrote earlier, what Ellen promoted around the workplace is what transgressed to those she put in power. Obviously, if you’re the devil to other people, your top executive producers are going to take advantage of your hostility and portray it on those beneath them in the job. It’s not like Ellen was a total saint and the producers were the devils. They could have learned from her. Instead, there are sufficient examples of Ellen being exactly like the producers she put in power and even worse.

Before we get to Ellen and her sole actions alone, I’m going to link you to a BuzzFeed article where they featured interviews with 36 former Ellen employees who said that the three main producers, Kevin Leman, Ed Glavin, and Jonathan Norman, engaged in sexual harassment and misconduct.

You can read that here.

Exposing Ellen and Her Toxicity

Let’s start it off by bringing up what Ellen’s bodyguard from the 2014 Oscars said about her when he spoke to FoxNews.

Tom Majercak who was selected to be her bodyguard at the 86th Academy Awards, said that it all started going bad when he was introduced to Ellen and that she “pretty much just gave me a side glance out of her eye and didn’t even say ‘hello,’ or ‘thank you for protecting my mother, my wife and me. It was very cold and it was very sly and it was actually kind of demeaning in the way that she treats people other than those who are in her circle.”

He continued saying that:

“It’s bugged me for years. I see this person come across as being very enlightened and positive and awesome and everybody loves her and is in awe and that’s really not the case when you meet her in person. When you see her on TV, people fall in love with her but it is a false facade and bravado. You start hearing these stories and I was like, ‘Man, there’s got to be more to this.’ She’s not the person she portrays herself to be that she’s playing off of society. That’s my opinion.”

See this content in the original post

He closed off his statement saying that:

“I can absolutely see through interacting with her first-hand that she doesn’t care about anybody else as long as she’s getting what she wants. People are starting to see her true self and that really lends to the support of what my initial thoughts of her have been over the last six years.”

While all of this was going on, this was the image of Ellen that was portrayed to us:

2014 Oscars / Photo credit: AP

“Wow, quirky! Best selfie ever!” And you know what? It’s easier to obviously believe what is presented to us, but you need to start putting things in perspective as time goes on.

Not only should you take his statement on Ellen as something exposing her, but you should also take it as something to note when you think that all these celebrities are amazing and sweet only because they are PORTRAYED that way.

Back in 2013, Ellen made an appearance on Australia’s Today show. Neil Breen, a former executive of Australia’s Today show, said that he was told not to look at Ellen during a meeting they had in which he described as “tense.” Things were so off back in 2013 to the point where Neil Breen said that he didn’t bat an eyelid when he saw that she was getting exposed now.

Australia’s Today show

Neil presents his own radio program on 4BC and that’s where he said that when he worked with Ellen back in 2013, he noticed that her staff “walked on eggshells” around her. He elaborated by saying that her employees were the only ones that were allowed to interact with her and that they laughed so loudly at her jokes during her interview, a reporter on the show told them that they had to be quiet.

They’re laughing because they’re scared.

See this content in the original post

Neil said that the producer called them aside and said, “Now Neil, no one is to talk to Ellen. You don’t talk to her, you don’t approach her, you don’t look at her. She’ll come in, she’ll sit down, she’ll talk to Richard and then Ellen will leave.”

He describes the situation as bizarre and as we’re starting to see, Ellen not only doesn’t show respect to her employees, but to other fellow people in the business that are just in a different country.

If the executives of other shows are reporting this type of behavior about Ellen, it makes you wonder how horrible conditions were to those without a status that were around Ellen.

Ellen’s behavior speculated more questions about who she is as a person. People have called her a narcissistic psychopath and said that she has sadistic qualities.

We’re going to talk about a few celebrity experiences.

Celebrities on the Ellen Show

Mariah Carey

Back in 2008, Mariah Carey was on the Ellen show and she was pregnant, but she didn’t want to confirm the news because she had fertility issues. However, Ellen insisted on her having to answer and when she didn’t want to, Ellen brought out the champagne. Obviously you can’t drink when you’re pregnant. Mariah was uncomfortable and she kept saying “I can’t believe this” and “this is peer pressure.” She was “laughing it off,” but it was obvious that she wasn’t happy.

Mariah miscarried shortly afterward.

That’s literally disgusting.

Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson was on Ellen in 2019 and things started getting a little awkward when Ellen tried to call out Dakota for not inviting her to her birthday party. I guess Ellen thought that Dakota was going to go on with the joke, but instead, Dakota called her out for lying.

Ellen: How was the party? I wasn’t invited.

Dakota: Actually no that’s not the truth Ellen, you were invited. Last time I was on the show, last year, you gave me a bunch of sh-t about not inviting you, but I didn’t know even know you wanted to be invited.

When she called her out here, this was Ellen’s face:

Her face literally translates to “How dare you?” Of course she tried to play it off.

Ellen: Well who doesn't want to be invited to a party?

Dakota: Well I didn’t even know if you liked me.

Ellen: Of course I like you, you knew I liked you… you’ve been on the show many times and you.. don’t I show “like?”

Dakota: But I did invite you and you didn’t come.

Ellen: Are you sure? How do you—I don’t think so.

Dakota: Ask everybody. Ask Jonathan your producer.

I LOVE IT. Dakota was on her NECK.

See this content in the original post

It was so awkward and Ellen started fiddling, but she played it off very well. Dakota kept her cool. She said it so nonchalantly and kind of put Ellen and her lies in her place.

The interview was VERY passive aggressive and when Dakota said “I thought you didn’t like me” it gave me the impression that something definitely happened behind the scenes for Dakota to say that. Whether she heard about Ellen’s disgusting ways to people or she had something happen with Ellen, there is definitely something there.

Later on, the producer did confirm that Ellen was invited to Dakota’s party. This begs the question, why did Ellen start that whole thing with Dakota? She literally started the interview that way. It’s clear that she loves humiliating people and obviously thinks she’s above everyone, but that was so weird. Give me your thoughts in the comment section down below.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara is Colombian-American actress and she has an accent. Whenever she’s on the Ellen show, Ellen never lets her forget it. Every single time she’s on the show, Ellen makes fun of her accent. One of the titles for an interview with her is making fun of how she doesn’t know how to say “Cover Girl” ‘properly.’

The video description is literally “Ellen made fun of her” and I totally get comedy, but making fun of someone who doesn’t natively speak a language isn’t comedic. In fact, many people are insecure about that when in reality they shouldn’t be because many people don’t know how to speak a second language to begin with!

See this content in the original post

Many of our readers sometimes dm/email or even leave a comment and towards the end of whatever they write, they say “Sorry for my English.” Stop that, your English is perfect and you’re not going to be shamed for grammar or spelling here. Sometimes I don’t even write perfectly and I’m a native English speaker.

Anyways, so the thing with Sofia Vergara is weird. I don’t know if it’s outdated humor nowadays, but Ellen seems like she enjoys making fun of her for not saying something correctly.

Look at this title:

So weird.

The content you put out you will promote. So Ellen, you’re aiding into all of the sh-t people get for having an accent.

Ellen as a Person: Summary

Throughout the years, the only thing I would hear about Ellen is one thing, “she’s not as nice as she seems.” It’s very vague and very general. I always thought that she’s like every other high maintenance celebrity, but with everything that has come to light, it’s obvious that Ellen is more than someone who’s “mean.”

And this is just what came to light which means it’s SURFACE LEVEL information. The more you get deeper, the more information there will be.

Back in March when everything started going downhill for Ellen, Shallon Lester posted a video about her on Youtube. We’ve been accused of being Shallon before considering we have the same stances on most celebrities, but there’s only one reason for that—we actually have sources.

See this content in the original post

Shallon is an industry insider considering she was the chief editor of Star magazine for many years. She’s been around a lot of celebrities, was on talk shows, and basically has a lot of industry sources.

She made a video about Ellen and it garnered a lot of attention. This was in March so she was basing her video only on the tweets that were replying to that initial tweet that I called the domino effect of everything that happened with Ellen. She also added in some things that she’s heard about Ellen while working in the industry. She made a lot of good points in the video to describe Ellen.

However, she also got a lot of heat about it because she used some checklist that was used to diagnose mental illnesses and everyone freaked out in the comments because they claimed she diagnosed Ellen as a psychopath. I’ve watched the video and I personally don’t see her diagnosing anyone. She even specifies that she’s not a doctor, but was using some qualities that are used to describe psychopaths—and stated that it was similar to the behavior of Ellen.

Anyways, so Shallon spoke about Ellen’s relationship with her wife, Portia De Rossi.

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images; Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP

Ellen and Portia met in 2000 and they got married in 2008. Portia has also defended Ellen during this scandal.

Earlier in the post when I wrote about her bodyguard at the Oscars and what he said about her, I didn’t mention when he spoke about how much of a sweetheart Portia was to him. He was shocked to see Portia so pleasant and appreciative of him and yet how cold Ellen was.

A lot of the information that Shallon was saying in the video was obviously according to sources. Readers of Star Magazine were very interested in Ellen and Portia’s relationship so they covered it a lot. And according to the sources, Ellen is practically a tyrant in their relationship. Portia wanted kids, but Ellen wouldn’t allow it. And a bunch of just tense stories surrounding that topic.

I remember being told randomly in 2014 that Ellen allegedly cheats on Portia like all the time. Maybe a cheating scandal will be next.

See this content in the original post

Many people were in the comments were like “this is defamatory, how do you even know” and blah blah blah. The same comments I get. I don’t get how kissing up to Ellen who’s had employees fired over medical leave, benefit you guys, but anyways!

This video was also made BEFORE the Ellen scandal took off. It was posted in March and it was only April until Ellen’s former employees started speaking up, and it came to light how the crew was being treated during the pandemic, and basically everything I just wrote for you all at the beginning of this post.

Watching the video NOW with all the new information in mind, you know it’s kind of obvious that Ellen is more than just a mean person. I’m not a psychologist, but Alana is a psychology student (surprise, we never exposed that detail). And according to her opinion and what she has learned so far, Ellen does portray narcissistic traits.

Again, this is an opinion and we aren’t diagnosing anyone. If you want to have a cow in the comment section, go ahead, but don’t claim we diagnosed anyone.

Ellen portrays an exaggerated way of self-importance and this is seen in how she treats people that are beneath her in status. Even when she was in Australia for an interview on SOMEONE ELSE’S SHOW, executives were still not allowed to look her in the eye. Why? In Ellen’s mind, she’s the most important person in the room.

Ellen has also portrayed a lot of self-entitlement. Take a look at that interview with Dakota. She felt entitled to bring up the fact that she wasn’t invited to her birthday party and yet SHE WAS. Or she feels entitled to have people not speak to her because again, she’s just that important.

Something is definitely wrong with her because with her whole chest she SPEWS COMPLETE BULLSH-T about kindness and yet she knows she’s doing the literal opposite.

Ellen’s actions showcase her as someone who lacks empathy. Take the interview with Mariah Carey for example. Mariah had fertility issues so she didn’t want to talk about her pregnancy that early on, but Ellen felt entitled to know and SHOW that was pregnant. Mariah was clearly uncomfortable as she stated, but Ellen didn’t care. She still forced her to drink alcohol to prove a point.

You also want to know how she lacks empathy? She didn’t care enough to make sure her crew had proper communications in a time of uncertainty and fear with the PANDEMIC. Instead, the memo that was sent out was that they will be getting a 60% reduction in their pay.

That empathetic to anyone?

See this content in the original post

I’ve always thought that Ellen was… odd. Whenever I watched her interviews, she just seemed cold and had dead eyes. I first started realizing this when Demi Lovato was on her show. I always thought that Ellen wasn’t that nice to Demi. I remember watching her older interviews with Demi and just feeling off about it all. Ellen was obviously nice to a lot of celebrities because duh, they’re the celebrities, but there were just some that she was passive with them. Dakota is one of them and to me, Demi was another example.

Ellen has always loved to humiliate people. Back in 2013, she attacked her audience producer on the show when she pulled up an embarrassing photo of her on Facebook and dragged her for buying “cheap underwear.”

Ellen said, “Do we not pay you enough? Why aren’t you buying ‘Ellen’ underwear?  What are you doing going to Chinatown? What are those underwear for?”

The producer, Claudia who looked embarrassed, tried to justify the photograph before she was interrupted: “Those were 10 Cents in Hong Kong, we were just showing…”

Ellen interrupted saying, “No I can see how much, I can see the price right there! So, no matter what it looks like you’ll buy it if it’s 10 Cents. Is that what you’re about?

GIRL…. HUH????? I’m shocked that this was allowed to air and it was considered normal.

That’s just so rude for absolutely no reason! I’m sure her producer can spend more than a couple of cents on underwear, but some people can’t. Also, it’s none of your damn business.

As I said, it’s obvious that Ellen is more than your average run of the mill, mean person. Whether she’s a psychopath or a narcissist, who knows, but she’s more than just mean. And to be honest, those are qualities that we have spoken about on this blog in terms of Dark Hollywood.

See this gallery in the original post

You know, when billionaires lose a sense of reality and gradually become numb to the point where they do excruciatingly evil things to “feel something.”

Let me know in the comment section what do you think.

I asked my sources for additional information on Ellen and they all said that whatever is out about her is basically all the tea. However, one of my sources told me this hilarious rumor that goes around in LA.

The color of the car that Ellen will drive into work that day will depend on her mood. So if she’s angry, she’ll drive in with some dramatic color such as red. That’s so funny if it’s true.

Why Celebrities Want to Stay in Her Good Graces

Ellen is very powerful in the industry and her word holds a lot of weight. This is why a lot of her former employees are in fear of coming out against her, but like I always said—the truth is on your side.

The industry is all about connections and power exchanges.

Let’s bring up Scooter Braun, who’s arguably one of the most famous managers out there. His clients are all major topics of this blog and we expose the good and bad about them. I’ve always said that Scooter is a great manager and he is. When I say someone is good in terms of the business world, I’m not saying they’re a saint. I’m saying they are going to do whatever is beneficial to their clients and that’s what Scooter does.

See this content in the original post

Throughout the years, he’s maintained great relationships with many powerful people in the industry because the industry requires connections. This is why most artists sign with well known managers—connections. He’s been recently seen defending Ellen and yadda yadda yadda.

In the long run, that is beneficial to him because behind the scenes, Ellen has a lot of connections. It’s not like Ellen is gonna have industry people lose respect for her. I’m sure we have to deal with sex trafficking and the ped*phile ring in Hollywood before anyone cares enough to go after Ellen.

All the PR people in Hollywood get along with Ellen and you know what? THEY HAVE TO. Ellen’s show is extremely popular within her competitors and when a celebrity messes up and wants a good wholesome look after a scandal, Ellen is the perfect person to go to.

Justin Bieber — when he made his return to music earlier this year, he was booked on Ellen for a week straight. They did cute activities that made Justin crawl back into the hearts of the general public.

Demi Lovato — she was also booked on Ellen this year when she made her return to music with Anyone after she performed at the Grammys. There she spilled the tea about how horrible her old team treated her and how it led up to her overdose.

Selena Gomez — she was booked on Ellen after going to rehab several times and that was when she spoke about her “lupus” diagnosis in depth and for the first time.

Kevin Hart — when he had to step down as the host of the Oscars in 2019 due to his old homophobic tweets that resurfaced, he came on the show and Ellen helped him deal with that scandal by defending him and saying that as someone who’s gay, she’s not offended.

Damage. Control.

Ellen has this wholesome factor about her and she’s able to bring that wholesomeness and transfer it on the celebrity so it can reflect them and make the general public love them again. Part of damage control is going on interviews and telling your side of the story.

So right now, it’s good for Scooter to defend her and this is why some celebrities have spoken out in her defense. Katy Perry and Ashton Kutcher are amongst those to defend her.

Others will stay shut because they don’t want to ruin their connections in the industry. And if this scandal blows over and you are a celebrity who tried to come for Ellen during this time, she’ll remember it. Nothing in Hollywood gets pushed under the rug. It stays there waiting to attack.

Is the show going to get canceled?

Right now, this scandal has gotten very bad to the point where many people think it’s going to get canceled.

However, the producers of the show denied the cancellation of the show in July. The show is also scheduled to run through 2022 as Ellen has signed onto a contract that states that in 2020.

I’m not familiar with any of the contractual obligations that Ellen is under right now and nothing is set in stone. It’s rumored within industry circles that Ellen’s show will be taken over by a celebrity that is starting to make a name for themselves in the talk show business.

But I don’t know how that will work out in terms of her contract. Maybe there’s a loophole that they can get her out of considering she’s rumored to resent the whole franchise.

That’s where you guys come in and let me know what you think is going to happen.

PHEW! You’ve made it to the end.

Thank you guys so much for reading. This was a HIGHLY requested topic for me to cover. I hope you enjoyed and that I was able to gather all of the receipts and data that is out there and put it in one.

Let me know what you guys think about this scandal! What do you think is going to happen with the show? Will Ellen be able to redeem herself and use some damage control on herself? What are your thoughts on Ellen before and now? Are there any other celebrities you think that Ellen was mean to? Are there any other qualities about Ellen you think are worth mentioning?
