Justin Bieber Gives an Inside Look at His Dark Past: security checking his pulse through the night, mental health, and relationship with Scooter Braun
Trigger warning: This post is going to talk about some pretty dark stuff such as suicide, mental health, drugs, and trauma.
For Justin Bieber, 2020 has been all about letting his audience into his past and opening up about a lot of the trauma that he experienced. Speaking about his low points with drugs to the days where he was actually suicidal, Justin gets candid about everything he went through.
In Justin’s docu-series Seasons, which premiered at the beginning of 2020, Justin spoke about the dark days where he was doing so many drugs to the point where his security had to check his pulse throughout the night.
He spoke about the type of drugs that he did such as molly, mushrooms, and pills.
A couple of years ago, we were the first ones to expose that about his security and we even went in depth about the type of drugs that he used—which he confirmed.
As we touched upon in the recent Justin posts, there were a lot of factors that went into Justin’s breakdown and turn to drugs. From his breakup to the pressures of the industry, to the deteriorating relationship with his parents, there were a lot of factors that contributed to it all.
In his song new with Benny Blanco, “Lonely” talks about how no one truly cares about him and how that loneliness really weighed him down.
The song doesn’t just describe what he went through but it shows how Justin actually FEELS about everything.
In the new documentary, Justin Bieber: Next Chapter, his manager Scooter Braun, opens up about how he didn’t know how to help him because he was only 25. He wished that he could have put him in therapy back then when he could.
We’ve touched base on Justin and Scooter’s relationship multiple times on this blog. During Justin’s dark days, Scooter and him would constantly butt heads. Justin was very stubborn and whatever he put his mind to, he was going to do it. That would be a good thing because it can contribute to breaking new records for example OR it could be doing drugs no matter what Scooter says.
Someone brought up a valid concern about Scooter saying that he shouldn’t victimize himself by saying “well I was only 25, I didn’t know how to help Justin at the time,” and meanwhile I can see what people are saying here, you also probably weren’t around back in the day.
Here’s some messages from my source from January 2015:
They were taken out of the following post:
In that post, I even apologize to Scooter publicly because I was…. SH!TTING on his life LMAOOO. If you read this blog in 2013 and 2014, I was a different person. I was like a machine gun in my posts.
Everything on this blog ages like fine wine. My source’s messages from nearly six years ago, still provide insight UNTIL THIS DAY. By the way, this is the main consistent source for this blog. My queen has spilled so much tea.
Back to what I was saying!
Oh yes, she literally says “A lot of the time he would talk to Justin and Justin wouldn’t listen.” Justin was engaging in self destructive behavior and the most Scooter can do as a mager, his protect him in some sense. That was a big reason as to why Scooter said over my dead body are you touring for the Journals album.
So even though Scooter could have done more for him, it was one of those experiences where Justin had to hit rock bottom to be able to say “oh sh!t, I gotta take myself out of this” which is what he did.
In the new episode of Justin Bieber: Next Chapter, Justin opens up about how he was suicidal.
It hit kind of differently seeing him speak about it because I’ve always casually said it multiple times. Some of you may think I’m insensitive with how I say things (I mean I don’t blame you lol), but a lot of the time my writing is kind of like a wake up call to whoever is reading.
Here’s what Justin said:
And if you read any of my older posts, I was saying it in a way where it’s like you guys need to wake up and see the problem we have in front of us besides sh!tting on him. The media had him portrayed like Satan, but he was literally a victim in so many situations, but for some reason, everyone portrayed him as the enabler.
Justin would go through suicidal phases. Some of it was during the Bizzle 2013-2014 days and some of it was during the Purpose era.
Here’s an excerpt from one of my 2016 posts:
Justin’s episodes of self pity and self destruction definitely hurt people in the process. As he said in the documentary, hurt people hurt people.
I know you guys will mention Selena in the comments so let me clear up something. Yes, there was a lot of things that Selena did out of hurt and we’ve said that multiple times in several posts, but the difference between her and Justin is that one is conniving and one is not. You can erase the past all you want, but it doesn’t mean that it never happened. I wish I can sit here and tell you that Selena changed and she’s not back to her conniving ways because she’s very sick and not well, but that’s not the case here. Sorry not everything has a fairy tale ending.
All in all, we can literally learn from Justin’s recovery process.
He disappeared from all publicity related things and literally got help. The world was hating on him and he was portrayed as this monster, but the reason why his team didn’t do any damage control (the way I dragged them for), was because Justin didn’t exactly want that. I hope it’s clear to you now how he’s not interested in keeping up any sort of facade. He confessed his troubles and declared his love for Hailey. He’s looking forward and not on the past. It’s one of the main reasons why he never spoke about his 2017-2018 reconciliation with Selena.
A lot of celebrities keep up an act for the general public and that act means constant damage control. Even when they disappear from the public eye, there is still content being posted from their side because they have to keep up an image (old content that is, I think you forgot how controlled social media is when it comes to celebrities). Recovery is a process where you have to be all in and if you’re going to give yourself to both recovery and your image, you’re not getting anywhere. It’s going to be a vicious cycle.
We’re seeing it happen right now with Selena, we’ve seen it happen with Demi Lovato and we’ve seen it happen with Justin.
Justin’s Purpose era was amazing for his career, but because he gave himself like 2 months of recovery, he was able to fall back into old habits whether that was feeling suicidal or doing drugs, old habits die hard. Very hard.
One last thing I wanted to talk about was something that Justin commented to a fan on Instagram. It obviously got no attention, but I’m here to bring it some.
I forgot what post the interaction happened under, but it was sometime in August and here’s what Justin said:
Here’s the entire convo interaction:
This had no media coverage at all by the way. I always see fans acting like Scooter Braun is the birth of the PR industry and he’s this mega mastermind when it comes to Justin, but I just know that if this interaction happened with any other celebrity, their team would make sure it’d make breaking news. However, no one is interested in Justin’s truth because it’s easier to portray him as a monster when it comes to the media.
“Imagine having all of the money in the world and having no friends or family that respect you, I can assure you that it won’t fill that void. It won’t fill the loneliness that is love. It won’t satisfy when you crave acceptance and belonging..” - Justin Bieber
ouCH.
I would say who hurt him but I already know.
Justin hangs out with his family because it’s family, but at the end of the day, he feels as if they wouldn’t even fight for a relationship with him if he wasn’t Justin Bieber.
Check out the parent contract post for more information.
That’s all for today. With every “credibility” post I make on Justin, it makes me happy to see how far he’s come because you can literally go back to 2013 and 2014 see everything that HE’S now talking about, posted years ago.
