New Blog Segment, What To Expect and More Updates
Hey everyone!
We’ve missed you lots and we hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your summer while staying safe. It’s been a little while since we’ve chatted so I thought I’d make a new update.
Where We’ve Been
My latest post was from last month about Selena Gomez and towards the end, I spoke about not posting or interacting with comments when I do not want to. Quite frankly, taking a break away from the blog has been really helpful because it brought back a drive to come back and write posts.
For veteran readers, a solid 20 posts per year is like the premium version of this blog. Over the past year (Jan. 2020 until now), 148 posts were published. We picked up the posting schedule precisely over the holidays in December and that lasted until March 2021.
And then burnout kicked in. The blog became more of something we had to do to please everyone and if we didn’t, we wouldn’t hear the end of it from entitled readers (a small percentage, I know).
It came to the point where I didn’t care about celebrity tea and I would only ask for information so I can share it. It’s usually always been I ask for information because I want to and the bonus was that I’d share and discuss with all of you.
So we took a small break. From March until June, we’d post about 1-4 posts a month and I was active on Twitter. Before the comments exploded on the last Selena post (1k+ comments… not sure how or why LOL), you guys were so sweet and understanding about what I said at the end of the post (about only posting when I want to).
I’ve been inactive on Instagram, but we’re planning a comeback there as well.
Throughout the years we’d always jokingly say “the esmg team” or “the A team” and part of it was just us trolling, but there is a legit team here. Aside from sources, we have a team that controls how things flow especially in the security sense. Youtube has been easy to maintain because everyone has a role there.
We’ve hit random bumps with readers throughout the past year about what kind of content you like / don’t like presented on the blog. There were always the “we knew this comments” and then there were the confused portion of readers that didn’t know anything.
So we’ve reached a compromise where Youtube will be strictly pop culture news/gossip while the blog will remain inside source based. Of course we’ll keep the “Pop Culture News” tag because most people who read this blog want our thoughts and recaps, but now it’s just easier to set boundaries in that sense.
Not posting on this blog has allowed both mine & Alana’s creative juices to start flowing again so today we present to you a new blog segment.
Hollywood in Parts
For years, you guys have requested the idea of making one big post with several bits of inside information to lessen the information per post and allow content to flow more frequently.
So we’re happy to announce that that idea is officially coming to life here at ESMG.
How is this different from a Tell All? The Tell All has always been stressful because 1. it’s a game and 2. its entire basis is to expose the most scandalous information on Earth itself. Hollywood in Parts (HIP) will allow us to release information more freely because it will just be random information that could be insanely scandalous or just random facts that you guys usually ask about it.
The official tag name will be HIP and it will be linked on the homepage alongside Exposed, Pop Culture News, Reviews, and etc.. It can also be found at exposingsmg.com/blog/tag/HIP

What To Expect
The three main posts on my radar right now is the Jailey update that I mentioned in the recent Selena post, a new Selena post, and the first HIP post.
As per usual, I do forget post requests that I promised so definitely let me know what you want to see down below. If I have a lot of information, I’ll make an exposed post. If I just know bits and pieces, I’ll put it in a HIP post.
I’m also going to talk about Meghan Markle & Prince Harry AND about the recent news of Scooter Braun & Yael Cohen’s separation.
It’s funny because I remember one specific reader kept asking several months ago about their relationship and I kept saying it’s Alana that knows about them. So we’ll discuss that and I reached out to my source about the announcement of their separation
Also, I proposed the idea of a ‘Reader’s Hub’ in an Ask Box before and I’m still unclear on whether or not you guys would like that or would that just be pointless? A Reader’s Hub will just be a place for readers to interact and talk. That won’t be happening in the Ask Box anymore since moving forward it will automatically close until we are able to answer it (therefore limiting anyone else from interacting). The last Selena post has over 1k comments because it’s just everyone talking to each other so if you guys think that would be a cool idea, just let me know. If not, also let me know. After all, there is a comment section under every post.
