Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo’s GRAMMYs Tension and Sabrina Carpenter Alliance

It’s the battle of the Taydaughters… except that one specific person hasn’t been on good terms with Taylor Swift for 4 years now.

Yep, I’m talking about Olivia Rodrigo—the ultimate Swiftie who credited Taylor for everything until Taylor pointed the finger at her and said “COPY CAT!”

That’s the shortened version of what happened between Taylor and Olivia so if you want more information, check out the post because we tell it how it is… not how publicists tell it.

Fans claim nothing happened but what’s that Taylor lyric? I never heard silence quite this loud?

Olivia went from being a die hard Swiftie to someone who didn’t even attend The Eras tour nor looks in Taylor’s direction at events.

Taylor—who has also been rumored to be feuding with artists like Billie Eilish and Charli XCX by suspiciously releasing new versions of the TTPD to block both of them—seems like she’s not trying to have a reputation for feuding with younger newer stars.

My source tells me, “I believe Taylor knew that the public started paying attention to her strategic releases to block Billie and Charli so she’s taken it upon herself to make sure that didn’t happen with Sabrina because it’d be obvious.”

“Also, she had achieved what she wanted to with the album so she could breathe a little. She’s very insecure with aging and losing the grip she’s had on the industry, but thankful that Olivia doesn’t want to feud with her.”

This is the record that Taylor was trying to beat.

Last year, Taylor was singing along to Vampire, a song rumored to be about her, when Olivia performed at the Grammys.

They were both nominated at the 2024 Grammys for album of the year, record of the year, song of the year, and best pop vocal album… all of which Taylor won (besides song of the year & record of the year which went to Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus respectively).

This year, however, Taylor lost all her Grammy nominations in a rare move by the committee.

In 2023, we exclusively reported that Taylor had reportedly sent Olivia a very mean email threatening her about her place in the industry.

I think the threat worked because Olivia doesn’t even try to play into the feud rumors. She’s also much younger and genuinely doesn’t want to feud with anyone.

She didn’t milk her feud with Sabrina or Taylor. She’s someone who has a passion for songwriting and performing and so she’s putting her energy into that.

Luckily for Olivia, staying drama free works in her favor as she’s relevant on her own so she hasn’t had to partake in any attention grabbing shenanigans.

“Taylor hurt Olivia’s feelings and Taylor was threatened by Olivia. We 100% know that Olivia’s songs being betrayed and taken advantage of are about Taylor as Taylor wasn’t nice about it when it came to dealing with Olivia,” my source said.

Taylor snatched her love and praise for Olivia real quick.

As time went on, Olivia’s feelings about Taylor began to simmer and she decided that she’s going to focus on her own career moving forward.

But in 2023, it was a different story.

At the time, a different source told me that Olivia hates Taylor and she has no problem making that obvious to the general public, especially with how obviously Taylor took Sabrina under her wing.

“Taylor deliberately took Sabrina under her wing to get at Olivia. For years, Sabrina was always reaching out to Taylor, but was ignored,” said my source.

“And when Taylor finally reached out to Sabrina, it was after her fallout with Olivia, and Sabrina was already known as Olivia’s public enemy.”

Taylor started reaching out to Sabrina in November 2021.

How does Olivia feel about Sabrina? I asked.

“She respects Sabrina a lot more now than she did before when Sabrina was milking the love triangle drama and deliberately doing things that will make people talk about the feud again,” my source said

She referenced the love triangle drama with Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes saying “They all did whatever they could to play into it. There was no real feud as Camila & Shawn were faker than ever and he didn’t vibe well with Sabrina.”

My source tells me that during the Driver’s License drama, Sabrina reportedly wanted to milk the drama more even suggesting to interact with Olivia at events they were both at or just doing something to make the media talk.

“Olivia wanted no part,” my source said.

“Once Sabrina became mainstream on her own doing her own thing without milking drama using other people, Olivia respected her more. But she didn’t want to be dragged into any publicity stunt.”

As for Taylor Swift jumping up and down like a fan girl in order to portray the modern day mother of feminism… it’s all an act.

She has fun at award shows and loves them—unlike most celebrities who get anxious at these types of gatherings—but she overdoes the supportive act so no one thinks she’s trying to monopolize the pop industry.

“Billie can’t stand her because Taylor operates in a power-hungry way behind the scenes. You just can’t tell as much because she took precautionary measures after she was called out for her greed during The Eras tour drama.”

The beef with Billie and Taylor was real by the way. Nothing is made up. A story doesn’t surface on the premise that it was all in our heads.

Taylor is a shark. She’s nice and sweet if you don’t threaten her kingdom.

“Part of me feels like the friendship with Sabrina is only for a season as it usually is. Before Sabrina, there was Olivia. And before her, Camila. And before her, Lorde. The list goes on and on. She imprints on any newcomer to keep her island of relevancy intact.” — my source

I know that Taylor can’t risk a fallout with Sabrina because that’ll just be obvious. It’ll be like “damn ma how many younger artists are you going to feud with?!”

It also helps that Sabrina makes sure that her aesthetic and music have nothing to do with Taylor.

Olivia’s music is also very different from Taylor’s but she didn’t get that grace because she debuted screaming “TAYLOR IS MOTHER. EVERYTHING I DO IS INSPIRED BY HER” until her team told her enough… you are now a colleague of hers, not just a fan.

It’s a tough industry and you always have to watch your back.
