Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s Wedding Tea: She’s Planning, He’s Relaxing — and They’re Tying the Knot on The Biebers’ Anniversary 👀
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are set to get married on September 27th, 2025, in a private but luxurious venue in the Montecito/Santa Barbara area of Southern California.
To maintain secrecy, guests will be shuttled to the venue without prior knowledge of its location. Accommodations for the wedding weekend have been arranged at the luxurious El Encanto hotel, known for its Spanish colonial architecture and nightly rates up to $3,500. The hotel has been exclusively booked for the event.
Speaking of maintaining secrecy, my source told me that Selena and Benny were beyond pissed when details of their wedding leaked a few months ago.
My source tells me that Selena is very anxious and wanted to pull up married before anyone even knew the wedding took place. She also upped the security because of the leak, as well as all the security issues going on nowadays.
“She wants everything to go perfectly, and she’s worried about her guests not having a good time or being present in the moment. She even thought about doing a no-phones policy because she really wants everyone to be in the moment, enjoying their time. She wants everything released on her accord but that’s just not gonna happen when you have a big event with a bunch of people. ”

When the wedding details leaked a few months ago, Selena and Benny considered changing the wedding date and location, but due to Selena’s busy schedule and the short notice, they decided to go through with what they originally planned.
“They, more so Selena than Benny, were livid when details leaked. I think what leaked was the date, being in late September, and the location being in California. Anyway, it wasn’t anything crazy, but Selena wanted to shock the world by having her wedding without the date being leaked. She thinks it’s good luck and good press. She went as far as asking about changing the date and location.” — my source
This doesn’t shock me since I do know Selena likes to blame things not working out on the media and fans, which is why she wants zero public opinion about her relationship and wedding.
Benny and Selena are in love, and she’s finally grateful that she stopped robbing herself of happiness the way she was doing so all these years prior.
“They both moved forward with the leakings and focused on the rest of the wedding details. Funny enough, Selena’s paranoia isn’t about how she’ll look or what dessert will be the perfect one—it’s about having a functioning and healthy relationship with Benny. She wants this to be her only wedding. She vocalized in the past that she wouldn’t survive a breakup again.” — my source
So I guess that means Selena isn’t marrying Benny just to say she’s gonna marry someone and figure out the problems in the future. She wants this to be the real deal.
My source says that the Jelena breakup showed her that the relationships she’s mapped out in her head don’t work in real time.
It’s not about finding the perfect man that everyone wants who wants you, but rather it’s about finding a strong connection, even if it only makes sense for you too.
“Benny is thrilled that Selena is going to marry him. He always does that annoying self-depricating act, and I guess he lowkey believes those jokes because he’s ‘super grateful’ that she wants to marry him. He’s given Selena full control of the wedding decisions, which stressed her out.” — my source
My source says that both Selena and Benny share similar core personalities, and one of those personalities is a tendency to procrastinate.
They like to laugh and brush things off and then get in that “oh sh!t we have no time” mode. (kinda like the owners of this blog)
My source said the big wedding details were finalized beforehand, such as date, location, food, and guests invited.
But the specifics of the wedding were left for the last minute, and my source says that Selena thought Benny would chime in, but the tasks were still left undone and it was very much a “Oh I gotta do everything” type of situation.
Benny gave Selena the budget and the role of planning most of it solo, which, according to my sources, stressed Selena out as she wished he would be hands-on as well.
“Benny was very much ‘like it’s your wedding day, you got this under control, I want you to give the last call for everything,’ so that way it could be the wedding of her dreams. That would’ve been cute if he weren’t so damn lazy. He’s making her do most of the planning solo. They got into a few fights over it, and the process of planning wasn’t smooth at first. She felt overwhelmed and thought he could step up and make some decisions as well.” —my source
My source said the gesture seemed sweet to Selena at first, and then, when they were both running out of time, she felt like she couldn’t enjoy it when she was the only one planning.
I guess that’s why she was weird about it when asked about how wedding planning is going.
My source said once those details were figured out and paid for, they both felt so much better, but Benny letting Selena be more hands-on with things is gonna be something that will be apparent in their relationship.
“I don’t wanna say she’s the dominant partner because I know Benny shows up for Selena in the ways she needs him to be, but she is the one who takes on a more masculine role while Benny is more feminine. She’ll use excuses as to why she is taking on that role by saying she knows what he’s thinking and how he just needs help vocalizing it.” — my source
This checks out because anytime Benny and Selena reveal something about their relationship, it’s always about how Selena is the one steamrolling the connection.
She’s the one who asked him out and told him this was a date.
She’s the one who shows up to his house 30 minutes early while he is still getting ready.
She’s the one who liked him so much that she got a rash when they first kissed.
She’s the one who told him she loved him first.
One thing I wanted to mention is the two narratives we got about how Selena said she loved Benny first.
The first time was their joint album, I Said I Loved You First.
Benny later recalled the moment Selena unexpectedly blurted out “I love you” while recovering from anesthesia after hand surgery.
According to Benny, she “stole his moment” before he could say it himself.
Then, Selena admitted months later, it was said when she was bragging to him about how her best friend’s boyfriend said he loved her.
She said, “I was sitting and bragging about, ‘Oh, well my best friend's boyfriend just said that he loves her...’ And it was just so ridiculous. So at the end of the night, I was like, “I love you, ok? I love you.”
She’s hilarious.

I told my source about that, and my source said that Selena is intent on making her marriage last with Benny.
“She has anxiety and is more concerned about this wedding being her one and last wedding. She’s not interested in finding someone else; she is intent on making it work with Benny. She knows that as long as there is love and communication, they’ll be good enough to last. She isn’t like her younger self, who was prone to misunderstanding people even if they did their best to communicate. She learned that you can have love without needing to add fear into it.” -my source
My source also said something interesting and said that while she knew a lot of the issues Justin and Hailey had, watching Justin intent on making his marriage work with Hailey, is what inspired her to do the same.
“Watching Justin fight to make his marriage work with Hailey sat weirdly with Selena. It took years for her to be able to say, ‘if he can make something work, why can’t I?’ And she was aware of some of their issues, but the fact that Justin didn’t give up on his relationship—the relationship he chose over her, weirdly made her positive. Like two broken people can make it out even if it’s not making it out with each other.” — my source
I guess she wanted to follow in their footsteps so badly that she chose their wedding anniversary as her wedding date. Before we know it, she’ll pop out Jack Blanco and snag herself a JB.
But for real, had the roles been reversed and the Biebers were getting married on September 27th while Selena & Benny’s wedding anniversary was September 30th, we’d be on the 18th hate train of the month with brands joining in and requesting a restraining order.
We’ve seen Hailey get hate for less, such as wearing a white tank top.
Knowing what I know about Selena and what I’ve revealed about her intent when it comes to the Biebers (wanting the world to hate them), it is odd that her wedding date falls 3 days short of her ex’s wedding anniversary.
She knows what she was doing that day in 2019 and she knows how she feels every year that date comes.
So is it a coincidence? You tell me.
Selena is finally in a happy and healthy place where she’s not self-sabotaging and is allowing herself to be in love without all the theatrics.
For the longest time, Justin and Selena blamed each other for everything not working out in their lives, and I guess Selena realized she needed to stop robbing herself of joy the way she did all those years ago.
Even if she is the more dominant one in the relationship, I do think Selena likes being in control.
“As someone who used to think being loved can only happen when you manipulate someone, she feels free enough to scream out loud that she said she loves Benny first, and she doesn’t care if everyone knows it because it’s freeing. It works for their relationship. I’ll tell you if it starts to cause issues, but so far it’s not, which is why they both think it’s genuine, and they admit those stories in interviews. Prime Selena would never. But then again, that’s because Prime Selena was so vain. If she told the world she chased a man first, she’d set up the fastest PR to course correct.” — my source
They do have a very deep relationship where they’re both very empathetic and compassionate toward one another. My source tells me that they joke about reading each other’s minds.
Overall, I can appreciate Selena and Benny’s odd relationship. While she’s emotionally more dominant, declaring her love for him not once but twice, he does romantic and thoughtful things that keep her in awe.
