In today’s new video, I take you through what happens behind on the scenes on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and how the filming style is managed. Is the show scripted? To what degree are things real? That’s what I spill today. And to end the video, I analyzed each Kardashian & Jenner on who they really are—an as-a-person analysis if you will.

On Instagram, I asked you guys what you thought about the Kardashians and a lot of great points were made that I’m going touch upon in this post since I haven’t really talked about in the video.
Kris Jenner: Mom or Manager?
One person said that they are “victims of Kris Jenner’s narcissism” and that’s what we’re going to elaborate on here.
Kris Jenner is known to function as one savvy businesswoman. We spilled some more tea about her and her business ways in the post “Why Kris Jenner didn’t manage Selena Gomez” so go check that out for more information.
I wouldn’t exactly say the Kardashians and Jenners are “victims” of Kris Jenner because they do what they WANT to do, but Kris MONETIZES what they do, and trust me, they like that. I also wouldn’t call her a narcissist because narcissists don’t have empathy and there is some empathy when it comes to Kris.
The thing about her is… she won’t mother you, she’ll monetize you.
“Oh, my youngest daughter is a minor in a relationship with a broke rapper? The controversy is good for business!”
“My daughter's sex tape was leaked? Time to build an empire.”
And most times, that’s not what a child needs. Instead, they’ll go and try to search for validation elsewhere which will end with them being in trouble.
Where a mother sees their child in need, Kris sees how much money they could make.
That’s the problem when it comes to momagers. They’ll often do what’s better for their bank account as opposed to the child. We’ve spoken about the roles of celebrity parents in regards to Dark Hollywood and how absent parents often lead to child victims.
Momagers can be absent in terms of motherhood as opposed to not being absent career wise. Does that make sense? A momager (or dadager lmao) can be there for the child as a manager, but not a parent.
My source feels that was the case with Miley Cyrus’ parents who went with the flow with whatever Miley chose to do as opposed to being a figure of parental guidance.
In the case of Selena Gomez, shockingly enough, Mandy cared about Selena outside of the career aspect. They had a falling out when Mandy told Selena to get sh!t together and go to rehab and that’s how Selena fired Mandy. It’s not that Mandy didn’t care, but besides the point. There are always different degrees of momagers.
In the case of the Kardashians, they were already grown ass hell by the time they became the huge empire that we see today, so a lot of these cases can retain more to the younger kids aka Kendall & Kylie Jenner.
Their Reputation in Hollywood

A reader on Instagram wanted to know, “what their personalities are like and what other ppl in Hollywood think about them/general reputation!”
Great request.
I already touched base about their personalities in the video where I went into detail, but as for their Hollywood reputation, it differs based on STATUS.
The Kardashians & Jenners have incredible relevancy and selling power. They’re rich and powerful and therefore they are respected in THAT REALM especially when it comes to newer celebrities that aren’t as rich and powerful.
However, there is another group of celebrities that take them as a joke. One prominent figure is Beyonce who never liked Kim Kardashian.
I actually had a post on that years ago.
It really depends on your status. If the Kardashians/Jenners weren’t as relevant or impactful as they are, they would be looked at as “oh another stupid reality tv show family.” But because they are a huge empire, they are given that ‘respect’ especially when it comes to those that don’t have what they have.
Obsession With Black Culture and Fetishizing Black Men
There were a couple of comments under my Instagram post about this topic.
The Kardashians & Jenners are very problematic, there’s no denying that. Are they necessarily bad people? Uh, I guess not, but they are very problematic.
When it comes to black culture, it’s usually something that’s innovative and trendy. If you research the history of certain trends and even fashion, it often dates back to black creators. Celebrities [in this case the Kardashians & Jenners] like to hop on the trend and so they popularize it (due to their relevancy & selling power). I can see why people get mad here because then the credit is offered to the white person who popularized the trend as opposed to the black creator.
They definitely prefer black men and I’m assuming because they run in the same circle as rappers and athletes, two circles that can be dominated by black men, there’s a greater chance that they date one. The thing is, the topic of race in respect to sports/music/genres, is a whole larger subject than the Kardashians/Jenners and their preferences.
When it comes to the argument of fetishizing black men, I don’t really know what to say. It’s a big claim and I’d have to ask sources about that.
From my source knowledge, I was never told something like “they go through a catalog of which black man they want to date.” The only ‘catalog shopping’ that I remember was when I spoke about Kendall Jenner’s fake public relationship with Harry Styles.
Either way, most of their relationships are toxic.
Did Kris Jenner encourage anything?
Kris Jenner encouraged whatever would SELL.
As for drugs, I don’t think she made them do drugs. It was more of a social thing that happens at all celebrity parties where you find yourself just snorting some cocaine and popping some molly.
In terms of surgery or whatever work that they got done, she’s all for what makes them look better and in results = can sell. I’ve heard from several sources that getting work done was highly encouraged by all their people, Kris included.
Robert Kardashian’s Diaires
Kris is definitely smarter when it comes to her kids now as opposed to when they were growing up considering she seemed like she was a careless mother.
Kris and Robert Kardashian were married from 1978 to 1991.
Back in 2013, the widow of the late Robert Kardashian gave InTouch a copy of his diaries where he alleged that Kris was abusive.
Ellen, his widow, told InTouch that, “These are authentic handwritten journals I have shared, that my late husband Robert Kardashian so carefully wrote during 1989 and 1990 at a most trying and touching time of his life. They are my personal possessions and he left them to me on his passing.”
He allegedly wrote on December 15. 1989 that “She doesn’t leave a number in case of emergency. She doesn’t care! She left [the] kids and screwed all night!”
On August 24, 1989, he allegedly wrote, “Kris was kicking and beating her and said she was going to kill [Kim]! Kim was hysterical.”
Ellen also claims that Robert isn’t Khloe’s father and it’s a popular conspiracy that OJ Simpson is Khloe’s father.
Of course Kris’ representatives denied those claims, but it was never disproven.
The Truth About Kim’s Sex Tape
By now, I’m sure we all know that Kim became famous after the leaked sex tape with Ray J.
However, the true story was that it was actually a “film” that was recorded in 2002, but released by Vivid Entertainment in 2007. In a press statement, they said that they purchased the film from a third party for $1 million. Kim ended up suing them BEFORE the film’s release for invasion of privacy and for the profits and ownership of the tape. However, she dropped the suit in April 2007 and settled with Vivid Entertainment for $5 million.
Ian Halperin, a Canadian investigative journalist, claimed in his 2016 book Kardashian Dynasty, that Kim and Kris had deliberately leaked the sex tape to Vivid Entertainment.
He wrote, "A mutual friend of Kim and Paris Hilton had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go ... Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand ... It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes [with Vivid Entertainment] and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day.”
One of my sources told me that Kim and Kris were behind the “leak” of the tape, but it’s something that no one in the family is allowed to talk about.
However, the Kardashians' PR reps have made it that Ray J was behind the leak of the tape. Kim also calls him a “pathological liar.”
They don’t really acknowledge the tape that much except when denying anything about it. In 2018, Kim revealed that she was high on ecstasy when she filmed it and I believe this comes after ANOTHER video was leaked of her smoking weed from a penis shaped bong.
