ExposingSMG's End of the Year Special (Schedule 4 out of 4) & a few ground rules + updates

And just like that… we are on the last schedule of 2020.

END OF THE YEAR SPECIAL

Thank you guys for being patient because I know this schedule should have been up hours ago, but Alana and I needed to get some things in order before doing all that.

The big end of the year topic for 2020 is… BRITNEY SPEARS! Britney has been an extremely highly requested topic this year and even though I put it off for a long time (since it’s a complex topic to cover), it’s finally coming! I haven't finalized the post yet, but if you have any lingering questions that you need to be answered, comment down below.

We exposed a lot of tea this month and even though the Britney post is the main present for our end of the year special, we wanted to include another post and that is Elite Hollywood. We’ve covered a couple of Dark Hollywood topics this year, but never delved deeper in the Elite section and so that’s what we’re doing now.

We also hit 8,000 subscribers on Youtube so thank you to everyone who watches our content there. Ever since the first Meghan & Harry video, it was requested to do another and that’s what will go up tomorrow.

Some of y’all are about to get dragged but first: a thank you note.

I’m not going to make this sappy like Priyanka Chopra clapping to nobody for an awkward minute. However, it has been a very difficult year for a lot of us. So many of you have reached out to tell us how grateful you are for this blog & channel for keeping you entertained and distracted from the worries of everything else. This blog is a hobby for us and we love writing and interacting with all of you guys who we consider friends. So thank you for reading, for watching, for commenting, for following, for emailing, for messaging—for everything.

We love you all and we are very grateful to have this platform and you as an audience.

Some ground rules and light dragging:

I don’t know if it’s the growing audience of this blog or veteran readers being annoyed or it’s the closeted readers, but the entitlement has to pipe the fck down. Now it’s one thing to ask for posts because it’s something we encourage and love to hear from you guys, but it’s a completely other thing to write a comment that’s along the lines of:

“we already knew all of this, give us some new tea, not this boring bullsh!t”

… who’s WE?

Is it YOU? Is it SOME? Who’s WE?

Now I don’t know if it’s hindsight bias phenomenon that some of y’all suffer with or it’s something else, but just because you suspected something or lemme take a leap and say—your trustworthy sources told y’all last night, don't speak for everyone else who has a genuine interest in the topic.

I know that when veteran readers write something like “Oh I had a feeling about this” or “I already knew a lot of this” it’s because after reading this blog for so long, honestly, you start developing a sixth sense to sh!t.

There’s a difference between giving me your thoughts vs. harassing us about something that you don’t wanna read.

“I knew this” vs. “Nothing new and nothing interesting” that’s the difference.

Honey!! There are endless topics on this blog! If you don’t like a post, skip it! But don’t ruin it for everyone else.

I know who’s my stan Twitter/Instagram audience vs. who’s my regular local audience from the general public.

OBVIOUSLY, if you’re part of a fandom and you follow up with your fave every week, you’re bound to know things, especially if that is rumored between the fanbase or even public information that is out there. That might not be the same case for Josh from New Zealand or Sarah from the United Kingdom.

The point being is… DON’T RUIN FOR EVERYONE ELSE. If you don’t like the topic, SKIP IT. If you majored in the topic and are on your way to getting your 5th degree in a side topic about the main topic, SKIP THE POST.

Now the reason that I am emphasizing this is because I’ve been getting a lot of messages and emails from readers who have questions on a topic, but the comment section is full of people saying “well we knew this.”

you done scared the readers away from the comment section.

… AND

you are a reason that my inbox has been filling up with emails that could easily be answered in the comment section!

So instead of saying something like “well I already knew this fck you,” ask yourself, “am I suffering from hindsight bias?”

I will not be inventing information and spreading lies to give you guys a shock factor. I tell the truth whether that is the boring truth or a juicy scandalous truth. It’s the truth.

Because of all this drama between readers, it got me questioning if I should reveal certain information since we got professors in the comment section. What happens then? The info piles up and I start getting questions about it yet I never posted it because I assumed that you guys knew it.

Back in the day, we were able to start new things on this blog because we had the freedom of mind to do so. For example, “As A Person” posts are now a huge thing on this blog but back when we casually started it, it wasn’t a thing nor was it requested. What this means is, we are able to creatively start new things on this blog and then introduce an idea to the readers which they can like or not. Give us the freedom to do that.

Another thing, when I blog about new topics that people are interested in, a lot of the time it’s a topic that I’M interested in. I’m not going to write something that I have no interest in asking about or researching about. For example, Alana had a huge interest in Michael Jackson and now there’s a whole series up on the blog (which we’re lacking in yes). Did the MJ fandom come at our throats with “well we knew this” no fcking sh!t! It’s court documents that you all can research.

The difference is our readers like it when WE research all the public info and comply it in a post for them that is easy to understand and enjoyable to read. If it’s an exposed post, then it’s marked under the exposed tag which means that an inside source has given us this info. If it’s a post that is mainly public information, it’s marked under the pop-culture-news tag because that’s where we tell you the public tea while giving you our thoughts/opinions (as requested).

I don’t like deleting comments because I like to think that I’m not going to censor y'all in the comment section since we all deal with censorship on social media. Instagram and Twitter are so sensitive nowadays that the second you give your opinion on something, you risk being suspended. I’ve seen it happen to thousands of fan accounts which is why I want to make the comment section a safe space for everyone to give their thoughts without fear of being locked out. EVERYONE.

I mean if you’re disrespectful or just flat out spamming the comment section, I’ll definitely remove your ass or restrict your activity.

Another thing, we don’t use information from blind sites. If the info matches up, great! If not, then who gives a fck. Oh and MAYBE… just mAYBE, the info matches up from different sources because it’s… t-t-true??????

This is called exposingsmg for a reason and blind sites are called blind sites for a reason. I love when you guys ask me your thoughts on certain blinds but I’m not going to use blindgossip or crazydaysandnights as a source. I’ll reference them, sure, but never as a source. Why? Because if I’m in fcking court for some sh!t I said on the internet, who am I going to ask to back me up? Enty from CDAN?? Or Ace from BG? Or is it going to be the professors from the comment section???

There’s a reason this blog has gone on this long and our sources are always ready to prove something if it’s crucial (stans not believing it doesn’t classify as crucial btw).

I’ve rambled for too long.

I understand that this isn’t something that occurs a lot nor is it the majority of the readers, but it’s still something I’ve been meaning to discuss with all of you so that’s that.

Give me your thoughts on this reader-drama that has been going on LMAO.

So far the things we have planned for January are… a big Jailey series, Little Mix posts, more posts on Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and etc.

Drop down your thoughts, comments, and requests. What new tea/topics do you want to see in the future from us? You can comment anonymously so take advantage of that! We will be reading and replying back ;)
