Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's Rumored Engagement... AGAIN

In the last Shawmila post, we discussed the idea of an engagement between our favorite fake relationship, Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello. The reason why we did? Because Shawn was out here talking to the press about how him and Camila have discussed the idea of an engagement.
By him and Camila talking about marriage — it means they discussed how much publicity they can garner from it with their teams.
I have it on good authority that these two aren’t dating for real and they have been a strict business deal and time after time… they convert some of you fools into believing the narrative that they put out.

The engagement rumor has resurfaced again after someone sent in a tip to this popular Instagram account that goes by the name Deuxmoi.

This account is known to post whatever tip they receive and they emphasize the fact that they don’t make the effort to validate anything because as we all know… sources could lie and in the case of Deuxmoi, a source can be someone on stan twitter who wants to amp people up.
A follower on Instagram told me that someone from Shawn & Camila’s team follows this account so it wouldn’t be shocking if the source was coming straight from the PR narrative itself. And with the growing social media age, celebrities have started to adapt to where information starts and how it could become viral.
However, what I want to emphasize here is that the rumor of Camila & Shawn being engaged isn’t new…. I literally talked about it in December.
Smaller media outlets have been hinting at it for a while now.
I even posted about it on my Instagram from other media outlets that have been discussing this secret engagement.
Seriously guys… how do you think this information is out in the media? How?
It’s supposed to be! From who? Their publicity teams!!!!!
In the last Shawmila post, I spoke about how desperate they are to erase the “y’all are so painfully fake” narrative and so they take extreme measures to do so.
Whether it’s talking about an engagement or discussing intimate details of their sex life or posting a crap ton of TikToks about their “cute” romance…
Nobody moved!
For God’s sake… Camila was in his documentary and once again… nobody moved. I’m not even being a hater—I enjoy both of their music—but this is an industry where you need to capitalize on your personal life and so they are going to do whatever it is they have to do.
If you are going to ask the question of “well why are they still together if they are a boring PR,” please read the latest Shawmila update that I already linked because I explained that so much and I don’t want to be repetitive.
Is an engagement happening?
The idea of these 2 announcing an engagement has been discussed… YES. But it’s not discussed in a way of “we’ve been together for so long, I love you let’s take it to the next step.” No honey.. it’s discussed as “everyone still thinks we are fake even though I just crapped out an album about you, time for plan F… fake engagement.”
Nothing is off the table for these 2.
Now I know that a lot of you aren’t adapting to the idea that engagements and marriages can totally be scripted in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean it ain’t true.
There are engagements that are real… Justin & Hailey Bieber’s for example.
There are engagements that aren’t spontaneous, but are planned from the inside (traditionally I guess)… Ariana Grande & Dalton Gomez for example.
And then there are engagements that are totally scripted… Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello.
And what do we know about these 2? They test the waters by leaking info (their teams) to the media to see how the general public will react. aka their breakup from last year which we were proven right about!
It’s the way you sell a product. You’ll test the waters by announcing it to a smaller group (in Shawmila’s case.. media outlets that no one pays attention to like InTouch & J-14) and then judging on the reaction, you take your next step whether the product will be taken worldwide (going to TMZ) or sticking with the same narrative that you are used to (no breakup happening).
An engagement could definitely be announced as a shock factor. It would not be surprising at all. Like I questioned on my Instagram, are engagements the new “PDA on the beach” during this pandemic or what exactly?
Many people made great points in the comment section with one of them saying that they will get engaged only to break up later.
Camila looks coked out of her mind ^ ….
To be quite frank, I don’t see them getting married even if they are both publicity hungry. It’s too early in their careers to be looking at marriage especially when they were both seeing other people behind closed doors. Both of them can do other things to broaden their audience… marriage ain’t the only option.
Here’s an excerpt from my source that was sent to me in the first week of January:
“Since Shawn is open about their sex life and engagement details, you should expect more of that in the forthcoming future. Nothing is off the table. From engagement talks to marriage to kids to the future to their houses. It’s the perfect set up following Shawn’s lovey dovey album about Camila.”
So sorry to burst your bubble… Shawn and Camila are still as fake as they ever were… maybe even faker.
