The Story of Michael Jackson: His First Ever Accusation Case in 1993 (part 2)

Note: This post has been updated as of April 19—since its orginial publication.

Welcome back to the Michael Jackson series! In this series, I talk about Michael Jackson’s childhood, career upbringing, successful status and most importantly: the allegations he faced. If you didn’t read part 1 of this series, I suggest you read that now before reading this post in order to understand everything perfectly.

The post I linked above is where I dissected Michael’s childhood upbringing, lifestyle and his stardom. I also refer to a “part 2” of this series where I will dissect Michael’s first accusation case from 1993, which is this post.

I’d like to say a special thank you to a friend I’ve made through this MJ series. Her name is Jess and she reached out to help us update this post with more information and accuracies, through research from a collection of several resources. This updated version of the post includes pictures of official document reports, an extremely rare picture of Michael’s first accuser: Jordan Chandler NOW, and so much more. We’re also going to discuss an INCREDIBLE documentary that highlights this case in such an amazing an easy way to understand towards the end of the post.

Before we get started on this part of the series, we’re going to rundown a few aspects that make this topic quite controversial, despite them being common sense.

  • It is believed that people with abused/neglected childhoods, turn out in either 2 different ways:

    • they learn from their childhood and tend to put abuse on others OR

    • they’re mindful of their traumatic childhood and try to purse a more positive lifestyle.

Michael pictured with his father / Image: Reuters

  • Michael has forgiven his father for any type of abuse he put him through while growing up. He admitted to forgiving him constantly in the press, even though they did nothing but rip him apart. Instead of dwelling on the past, Michael ended up recreating his own childhood for himself as well as other children who were considered misfortunate. He also gave over $300 million dollars to charity. These are all examples of MJ pursuing a more positive lifestyle.

  • Hollywood pedophiles know what they’re doing and they know how to hide it for several decades. I’ll tell you that at first hand considering most of them are yet to be exposed even though pedophiles have been getting exposed more often nowadays.

    • If MJ was a pedophile, why would he make himself a target by constantly being around children and having children he helped, once again appear in his 2005 documentary?

    • Also, are we forgetting the PR companies and publicists very much exist in the industry? I’m sure the king of pop would be advised by his top publicists to do the opposite of what people are accusing him of—to put on the fake act, as opposed to feeding into the rumors.

See this content in the original post
  • Many people believe that Michael’s innocence made him a perfect target. He’s the only celebrity that was “exposed” and still has millions of people doubting any of the stories.

Okay so obviously common sense isn’t enough to prove my point, but this is a good starter point because I’ve been writing about Hollywood for seven years and I can assure you that some of the bullet points I just listed, can be justified as real evidence. After all, we do have the ability to think for ourseleves. All this blog does is just present the facts.

How Michael Met The Chandler Family

The Chandler family is pictured above, with Michael. Jordan Chandler is the little boy who accused Michael of molesting him, to his father Evan Chandler. This is how the allegations all started.

See this content in the original post

Jordan Chandler and his mother June Chandler-Schwartz, were huge fans of Michael for many years before meeting him. They both reported seeing him in a restaurant in LA, but never went up to him and when Michael burned his scalp during a 1984 Pepsi commercial, Jordan and his mom sent the hospital he was staying at a letter.

Michael ended up suing Pepsi for $1.5 million, but then donated all of that to a medical center. Read more here.

They met because of Jordan’s step-father, David Schwarz. Michael was at Schwarz’s car rental agency and Schwarz told him that he didn’t have to pay for anything if he called his step-son, who was a huge fan of Michael.

“You don’t have to pay for the car, just take this number and call Jordy.” - Schwarz to Michael.

From May 1992 to January 1993, Michael kept in touch with Jordan on and off since he was on tour. Records from their phone conversations stated that their phone calls mostly revolved around the topic of the Neverland Ranch and video games. Both Jordan and his mom were in on these calls. These calls would happen approximately once a month.

Again, the Neverland Ranch story was all explained in part 1.

See this content in the original post

Michael also introduced Jordan to a young boy named Brett Barnes, who was with Michael during his tour (important info for later). Jordan often dreamed about visiting Neverland and meeting Michael.

Michael and Brett Barnes

In February 1993, Jordy and his family visited Neverland for the first time and during the visit, Jordy was not staying in Michael’s room. He stayed in the guest area overnight with the rest of his family. During their visit, they played mini-golfing, went jet skiing, went to Toys R Us, played video games and etc..

See this content in the original post

Over the next few months, Michael and Jordan’s family became very close to the point where tabloids started calling the Chandlers “Michael’s adopted Family.” The family was invited to Neverland often and it was reported that Jordan constantly asked his mom if he can stay in Michael’s room, but his mother said no. His mother described him as being very pushy towards this topic so instead of staying overnight, he would stay till 2am and then return to the guest room. She said this in her testimony, which will be linked at the end of the post.

Michael with Jordan.

Some reports say that Evan Chandler (Jordan’s biological dad), bragged about how close his son and ex-wife were with Michael. Reports also say that June described her ex as a “gold digger.”

The family and Michael continued to hang out for the next few months (April 93’-May 93’) and June invited Michael over to her house. The family went with Michael to the 1993 World Music Awards in May.

When Jordan and his mother June attended the World Music Awards, Evan became jealous because of their involvement to Michael’s stardom and he felt left out. When they returned back, Michael stayed the night at Evan’s house.

Evan Chandler

Because of all the time Jordan spent with Michael, it would shorten visits with Jordan’s father, Evan. Jordan would choose to be at Neverland rather than spend time with his dad. Jordan was 12 and hanging out with his idol. I mean it’s common sense as to why he was more excited to be around Michael.

See this content in the original post

In May 1993, Evan insisted that Michael should build him an addition area on the Neverland ranch so that Evan can live there. When the zoning department said this could not be built, Evan insisted that Michael should build him a new house around the area.

Is this behavior suspicious to anyone else?

The Accusation

According to Evan, after a handful of hangouts with Michael and his family, he started to suspect something during May. Although Evan admits to not witnessing any sexual misconduct, he does confront June about this during Jordan’s graduation on June 9th. This causes June and Jordan to distance themselves from Evan. Jordan decides to stop talking to his father except during times that he was supposed to.

According to Ray Chandler (Evan’s brother), he says “at this point, Evan hadn’t seen or heard from Jordan since June 9th.”

Ray Chandler, Evan’s brother.

It was reported during mid-June that David and June tried to warn Michael about Evan, but Michael dismissed their claims, saying these things happen to him all the time and everyone usually just wants money. He did end up hiring a private investigator though.

On July 16th, 1993, Jordan accused Michael of kissing, masturbation and oral sex— which he told to his father (we’ll get to the specifics of this accusation in moment). According to Jordan and his father, things started to get weird during their visit to the World Music Awards in May and that is where the case started.

It was reported that Evan actually drugged Jordan into confessing when he would take him into his lawyer’s office. According to witnesses at the office, everything that was happening when Evan was there was highly suspicious.

See this content in the original post

Here is a short timeline of what happened when Jordan confessed to his father:

  1. Evan drugged up Jordan with sodium amytal because back in the day people thought it was some sort of truth serum. Evan would basically ask questions like “did Michael do blah and blah to you” and drugged up Jordan would respond saying yes. Note that Jordan was saying anything, but merely responding to his father grilling him. They wanted to portray that Michael would take advantage of him and that he would tell him that these actions were normal and what friends would do. So Jordan’s confession was basically him saying “yes” to Evan.

  2. Evan and Jordan meet with Michael and Evan brings his lawyers.

  3. In the meeting, Evan wanted to confront Michael with allegations in an effort to make a settlement and avoid a court hearing. Instead of going straight to the police, Evan went straight to Michael with Jordan, to try and make a settlement offer. Evan initially asks for $20 million, but MJ counter-offers with $1 million. We later learn that Michael was settling because he felt bad that his closeness with Jordan took a toll on Jordan’s relationship with Evan who was jealous. Michael wanted to give them the money so Evan can work on the movie he wanted to create and it can be bonding time with Jordan (this is explained in the documentary we link at the end of the post). However, Evan is greedy so he then asks for $15 million and then MJ’s team goes down to $350,000.

  4. At that “meeting,” Anthony Pellicano, who is Michael’s private investigator, told the press that Evan was threatening to go public with this unless Michael helps him with his screenwriting dreams and pays him. (More in detail about this meeting further down in this post.)

  5. After the story hits the press in August, Brett Barnes and Wade Robson speak to the press.

  6. Brett Barnes (the young boy I mentioned earlier who was with Michael on tour), told the press that there was no sexual abuse with Michael. “I was on one side of the bed and he was on the other, it was a big bed and nothing happened.

  7. Wade Robson (ironically) at age 10, told Fox TV “Nothing sexual ever happened with Michael.” Wade also later defends Michael again in 2005, but he’ll get his own post soon.

Since Michael’s team had the police investigate Evan, here are the public facts about Evan Chandler.

  • Evan initially wanted to be a screenwriter and so he moved to Los Angeles with his wife June Rochelle Wong. He didn’t find any success in pursuing his screenwriting dream so he became a dentist.

  • On January 11th, 1980, Jordan Chandler was born.

  • Evan was a sketchy dentist and ended up losing his license for 90 days, had to pay $243, was on 5 years probation, took additional hours of schooling and had to pass a certain section of a dental exam.

See this content in the original post
  • Years later in 1983 after trying out screenwriting again and begging for his dentistry license back, his probation was lifted. In 1985, June and Evan got divorced and June got custody of Jordan. Evan had to pay $500 a month for child support. June later marries David Schwarz.

  • Years later, the police found out that Evan was $68,400 behind on child support, despite having money because he was a dentist.

  • During the time of Evan’s suspicions (May 1993), he is in a custody battle with June over Jordan.

Michael with the Chandler family (minus Evan).

  • Jordan later becomes diagnosed with Parental Alienation Syndrome, which is a disorder that forms when a child is put in custody disputes and battles. (Oct. 1993)

    • Parental Alienation is defined as behavior that occurs after “a child becomes estranged from a parent as the result of the psychological manipulation of another parent. The child's estrangement may manifest itself as fear, disrespect or hostility toward the parent, and may extend to additional relatives or parties.”

Since we have a clear understanding that Evan is highly suspicious, Michael’s team hires a private Investigator named, Anthony Pellicano. They hire him because of Evan and his “suspicions.”

Anthony Pellicano pictured above.

July 6, 1993

Before any of the allegations, Evan’s attorney, Barry Rothman, called a doctor to write up a hypothetical situation if he was needed to report a situation like a pop star sharing a bed with a kid, type of scenario. Evan later takes this to June and Michael as a threat.

This is the hypothetical situation that Evan used to threaten Michael with. He was trying to insinuate that he’ll have a real one made up like this.

Again, the above document is based on a “hypothetical” situation. It was never an official document used against Michael. It was just something that Evan threatened Michael with before all the allegations.

July 8, 1993

According to Evan and Jordan, Jordan accused Michael on July 16th. But about 2 weeks before that, Anthony Pellicano set up a phone call between David Schwartz and Evan. Since David and June didn’t believe Evan, they were willing to help out. Reminder: David Schwartz is Jordan’s step father that we mentioned earlier in the post.

Evan is recorded on a phone call saying, “If I go through with this, I win big time. I’ve checked that out inside out … I will get everything I want and they will be totally, will be destroyed forever. They will be destroyed, June is gonna lose Jordy. She will have no right to ever see him again.”

Evan also says in a different phone call, “there will be a massacre if I don’t get what I want.”

See this content in the original post

In a different phone call he says, “I’ve hired the nastiest son of a b-tch I could find [talking about an attorney]…. this guy is going to destroy anybody in sight.”

Another Evan Chandler quote: “This man [Michael] is going to be humiliated beyond belief, he will not believe what is going to happen to him, beyond his worst nightmares.”

Another great liner from Mr. Chandler: “That’s a fact, Michael’s career will be over.”

uhhhhhhh this is real. Y’all can hear it for yourselves.

You see how Evan is saying “everything is according to a plan” and remember how he had a doctor write up a hypothetical scenario? This all goes together.

Honestly I don’t know why after this phone call came to light, why the entire case (which was not public yet) didn’t get dropped??? I mean if Jordan told him on July 16th, then how was Evan rambling about this topic 2 weeks before?! Again, according to the timeline, he had no knowledge of any sexual activity happening between Jordan and Michael, considering Jordan accuses Michael 2 weeks after this phone call took place.

I can’t believe there is audio proof of Evan Chandler rambling about how he was going to destroy Michael and everyone who gets into his way, 2 weeks before Jordan “admitted” anything and Y’ALL STILL LET THIS MAN GET CALLED A PEDOPHILE.

August 4, 1993

In this post, I mentioned a meeting that took place with The Chandlers and their lawyers, and Michael and his private investigator, Anthony Pellicano. Anthony told the press that Evan would threaten to go public with claims that he molested his son unless he helped him with his screenwriting dreams.

Yeah, I can imagine being Evan and being more worried about my dreams of writing rather than the safety of my son. Solid foundation he had there.

“Although Anthony Pellicano offered to introduce the father to Hollywood contacts, the father stood in anger, saying: ‘You can’t help me,’ and pointed at Jackson. “Only he can help me.” — RollingStone.

Um.. I would’ve ran but I guess that’s just me being silly.

Talk about creepy.

See this content in the original post

It gets worse. According to Anthony, he said that Evan yelled at Michael saying “You’re going to be sorry, Michael. This is not the last you’re going to hear from me. If I don’t get what I want, Michael, I’m going to the press. I’m going to ruin you.” -RollingStone.

Now you may be asking, “well what did Satan want?” Anthony said that Evan wanted $5 million dollars a year for 4 years and in exchange, Even will keep silent. Then, Evan said he wanted to close his dental office and spend his time writing screenplays with his son AND MICHAEL. They rejected Evan’s deal.

So in Evan’s sick little mind, he decided well I’m gonna get $20 million from him no matter what. This is why his settlement agreement was that the Jackson team would give Evan $20 million, for all this to go away.

August 18, 1993

The police department begins to investigate Michael.

During this time, June initially tells the police she doesn’t believe Michael molested Jordan. A day later, June has a change of heart after her lawyer, Michael Freeman, met with Barry Rothman (Evan’s attorney). Suddenly, June is on Evan’s side. The funny thing about June was that in Ray Chandler’s book, “All That Glitters,” he says that June said she believed Evan brainwashed their son. In late August, Barry Rothman stops representing the Chandlers after Michael’s team filed extortion charges against him.

Extortion is defined as the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.

A search warrant was issued for the Neverland Ranch. Police questioned 30+ children who knew Michael and were often at Neverland to see if anything inappropriate happened. All 30+ said no.

August 24, 1993

Allegations become public.

Anthony Pellicano holds a press conference accusing Evan of trying to extort $20 million from Michael.

I told you guys this earlier in the post when Evan and his team went straight to Michael and asked for a settlement.

August 26, 1993

Jordan starts to have trouble remembering dates and times of his alleged molestation. Police investigation says “…there’s no medical evidence, no taped evidence. The search warrant (at Neverland ranch) didn’t result in anything that would support a criminal filing.” oof went off.

“The lack of physical evidence of alleged sexual molestation … left investigators ‘scrambling’ to get statements from other potential victims” reports said.

August 30, 1993

Now that Barry was no longer representing the Chandlers, they hired attorney Gloria Allred. On September 2nd, Gloria held a press conference stating that Evan and Jordan are willing to testify in court (something Evan did not want to do, for obvious reason).

Because of her statement, the Chandlers FIRED her and hired Larry Feldman, who was offered to them by Barry Rothman. According to Ray Chandler’s book, this was because the Chandler family wanted to steer the case toward “a highly profitable settlement” rather than a Grand Jury indictment and a criminal trial.

They. Literally. Just. Want. Money.

Receipts? Receipts.

Official document showing Gloria got fired:

Official document showing Feldman being hired:

September 8, 1993

Police travel to the Philippines to interview two of MJ’s ex-housekeepers. They lacked credibility due to bias and salary arguments with MJ.

On September 8th, Evan and David (Jordan’s step-father), had a disagreement about who was going to keep what part of the settlement money. Aka, the settlement money that they didn’t even have confirmation that they were getting yet. During the argument, David says “this was all about extortion anyway” which made Evan hit David. This was reported in Mary A. Fischer’s article “Was Michael Jackson Framed?” (GQ, October 1994).

In June’s testimony, she admits that Evan hit David.

See this content in the original post

September 14, 1993

Evan sues David for invasion of privacy and giving recorded phone calls to a third party (when he helped Anthony back in July 8th). David then sues Evan back for invasion of privacy and emotional distress.

If this doesn’t prove Evan is a mess, what will? I mean keep reading the post to see Evan go above and beyond. Larry Feldman (their attorney), on behalf of the Chandlers, files a $30 million civil lawsuit against Michael.

October 6, 1993

Jordan undergoes a psychiatric interview with Dr. Richard Gardner in NY. Doctor diagnosed him with Parental Alienation Syndrome.

November 8, 1993

Police starts to investigate the Jackson family in Hayvenhurst, LA. Children around the area denied any molestation from Michael.

See this content in the original post

November 18, 1993

Michael’s attorney, Bert Fields, writes a letter to LAPD complaining about the dectives involved in the case, using tactics of trying to manipulate children into saying incriminating things about Michael. Police interviewed 40-60 children (some sources say 100 children were interviewed) who had ever spent time with Jackson or at his Neverland Ranch. No one matched the accuser’s story. All of the children said nothing inappropriate or suspicious had ever been done to them by Michael.

November 22, 1993

Five former bodyguards of the Jackson family: Leroy Thomas, Morris Williams, Donald Starks, Fred Hammond, and Aaron White; file a civil lawsuit against Michael claiming that they were fired because they “knew too much” about Michael’s relationship with young boys. The bodyguards, who asked for $10 million in their lawsuit, did not work for Michael, but for his family in Hayvenhurst.

The bodyguards appeared on the tabloid TV show, Hard Copy, and told their story. Later on, documents revealed negotiations for $100,000 happened between the show and the bodyguards. The bodyguards never reported to authorities that they saw any inappropriate behavior from Michael towards children. In fact, in depositions given to the police, they admitted they never saw anything inappropriate. The bodyguards’ lawsuit was thrown out of court in July 1995.

At this point, you can probably recognize a pattern. Everyone just wants money. Might as well attempt to sue Michael. I mean what’s the worse that can happen? You might win a million dollars?

December 8th, 1993

Michael’s sister, Latoya Jackson, claimed that Michael was a pedophile. (lol I will get to this)

December 13th, 1993

Blanca Francia, Michaels ex-housekeeper said she “quit in disgust” after seeing Michael in a shower with a child, but she never informed the police. Lisa D. Campbell, an author and researcher about Michael Jackson, reported that Blanca was fired in 1991 and sold the story with no evidence for $20k. Blanca denies ever being fired, but admitted to being paid for her story. During Michael’s 2005 trial, Bianca admitted that she had been paid $20,000 by Hard Copy for the interview.

This is the same show that paid the 5 bodyguards to tell some sort of story on their show. This industry is vicious.

December 20, 1993

Michael is strip-searched by police. His body was photographed and videotaped by authorities so they could compare it to Jordan’s description. Two days later, on December 22nd, Michael released a video in which he insisted he was innocent and described the strip search as “the most humiliating ordeal of my life.”

Here is where it gets a little confusing.

“Jordan” wrote up a description/gave a drawing of what Michael’s genitalia looked like. Some people in the case believe it matched his description because of a specific mark that was on it. Many fans and other people involved, believe that the Chandlers took a description of Michael’s genitalia that was already written about in an article published by The Smoking Gun.

You may be wondering “why are there articles describing how Michael’s genitalia looked like'“ but let’s not act as if the media wasn’t writing a bunch of articles dissecting him and ripping him apart just for fun.

See this content in the original post

1. Jordan’s Description Was Not A Match

Even though many people try to say Jordan matched the description perfectly because he mentioned the mark, he was actually wrong about one very specific thing.

He said Michael was circumcised, and Michael was not.

The only way we know that Michael was not circumcised was because of his autopsy in 2009. After this was revealed in 2009, The Smoking Gun deleted their article about his penis where they said he was circumcised.

Many people also have used the argument that Jordan may not have known what a uncircumcised penis looked like. Jordan’s uncle, Ray Chandler claims in his book that his nephew saw Jackson’s genitalia many times, “from every possible angle” and had a “precise mental picture.”

So he had a “precise mental picture” from seeing it in “every possible angle,” but yet he couldn’t tell if it was circumcised or not?

I mean I think this is the biggest reason that proves Jordan’s description was not a match.

See this content in the original post

2. Because the description and photos did not match, investigators went as far as bringing his mother, Katherine Jackson, into questioning and asked her if Michael did anything to change his appearance down there.

Why would they ask if he had anything altered unless they saw that the photos and descriptions weren’t a match?

Anyone else traumatized?

3. Jordan Chandler’s attorney, Larry Feldman, DID NOT WANT to use the photos in the hearings.

I mean if his client wasn’t a lying roach, why wouldn’t he want to use the photos? If the description matched the photographs, wouldn’t that build them a better case for them rather than Jordan goin “uh… yeah he.. touched me.”

Because at this point, THAT WAS ALL THEY HAD.

People claim Jordan’s lawyer couldn’t use the photos because Jackson’s team and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office refused to give him copies of the photographs, but it was actually reported that Jordan Chandler’s attorney requested that the photographs would be “not allowed” in court.

See this content in the original post

4. Recorded conversations of Evan and Jordans lawyer, Larry Feldman coming up with an excuse in case Jordan’s description fails.

Evan has recorded phone calls from LEFT AND RIGHT exposing himself and y’all still wanna tell me Michael is guilty?

Michael told Oprah in February 1993 that he had vitiligo. The following weekend, the Chandler family went to Neverland. Evan was aware of Michael’s vitiligo since he watched the interview and met Michael 3 months later (as stated in Ray Chandler’s book). So as you can see from the conversation above, they wanted to use his vitiligo as a win-win situation in the case because the condition makes Michael’s body change regardless—so it served as their alibi if Jordan was wrong.

Latoya Jackson Calling Michael A Pedophile

Michael with Latoya.

I get chills over this because his own sister was backstabbing him to the public. However, there is a whole heartbreaking story behind this, that involves actual abuse that LaToya endured. Many people like to use this as “hard-core proof” of Michael being a “pedophile” because it’s his sister, but I guess many of those people turn a blind eye the moment she takes it all back.

On December 8th, LaToya claimed to see Michael write checks to different boys’ families and that Michael’s own physical abuse, turned him into an abuser.

She and her husband at the time, Jack Gordon, said that Michael had tried to kidnap and kill her.

o..kay

On December 9th, she told Katie Couric on the Today show, “I do know he’d have boys over all the time and they’d stay in his room for days. Then, they would come out and there’d be another boy and he’d bring someone else, but never two at a time.” Never two at a time, how thoughtful of him.

She also claimed to have physical proof of him being a pedophile and offered to disclose it for $500,000.

See this content in the original post

A bidding war began between US tabloids and UK tabloids, but collapsed after both parties realized she had nothing to offer. By this time her family had disowned her because she was lying about the evidence.

A few years later, she insisted that she had been forced to make those allegations by her husband at the time, Jack Gordon. Before she made any allegations against Michael, Jack was arrested for assaulting her and years later they divorced.

Michael with Latoya // L. Cohen/BET Entertainment/Getty Images

LaToya had an abusive relationship with her husband. She was a victim of domestic abuse and she did an interview one time where an audience member asked why her husband hit her, and she said it was the fault of his medication. She speaks about it in this interview here. However it was clear that she wasn’t just in a physically abusive relationship, but an emotionally abusive one.

He also would pimp her out like a prostitute. In Latoya’s book, she spoke about how scared for her life she was and how her husband had ties with the Genovese MAFIA, and thretened to kill her, Janet Jackson, and Michael. Their relationship was an extremely messy and abusive one to say the least, but we don’t want to get to off topic.

Michael didn’t have to forgive his sister because he was never angry with her considering he understood what she was going through. In 2009, she said that he was never a “pedo” and “never had any improper relationships with a child.” She also defends him against any allegations made further down the line.

She wanted to explain how sorry she was to Michael, but he didn’t want her too because he already knew what she was going through with that demon she was married to. Michael was never mad at her and never said anything bad about her. This tells you a lot about his character and his morality.

Now that that’s settled, let’s go back to the case.

See this content in the original post

The Settlement

On January 24, 1994, Michael’s team dropped the charges of extortion that they made on the Chandlers in agreement for a settlement. The reason this happened is explained very well in the documentary that I linked at the end of the post. People think he settled because he’s guilty, but Michael was actually a victim of an unconstitutional situation where he was expected to give away his defense in a deposition for the civil lawsuit, before the criminal suit. This is actually a big deal to the point where California enforces a law after this case, stating that a civil lawsuit can’t precede a criminal lawsuit.

The investigation of the extortion charges made by Michael and his team was never given the same attention and effort by the authorities, as the child molestation allegations against Michael.

They never paid any attention to it which made authorities lack evidence of extortion, which means Michael and his lawyers had to drop the charges.

Both sides stated that the settlement was not “in no way an admission of guilt by Michael Jackson.” So Evan and his team, Michael and his team, and the settlement issue itself stated: that because they have agreed on a settlement, does not mean it was proof that Michael was guilty.

So don’t try to use that as an excuse.

The settlement they reached was that Michael put $15,331,250 in a trust fund for Jordan and that June and Evan Chandler each received $1.5 million.

Wow $15 million dollars for being a lying weasel.

Case Officially Closes

In February through April 1994, the case starts to wrap up. In April, the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Grand Jury hearings in the Jackson investigation, both disband without indicting Jackson, despite the investigators refusal to close the case and still try to convince Jordan Chandler to testify.

Jordan later tells investigators that he will never testify in court so then they drop the case.

Michael is found not guilty.

That was the whole 1993 case laid out on a silver platter—facts, accusations, and everything!

Honorable Mentions

Here are some random facts during/after the case.

  • Michael’s wife at the time, Lisa Marie Presley aka daughter of Elvis Presley (talk about iconic), defends him in 1993; “I do believe he didn’t do anything wrong and that he was wrongfully accused and yes I did start falling for him.”

Lisa and Michael // (Photo: Philip Ramey/Corbis via Getty Images)

  • During June Chandler’s testimony, she said that she and her family always stayed in a guest room at Neverland. In Neverland, the guest area had its own section away from everything else. She also testified that she never saw Brett Barnes in any place in the house besides the guest area.

  • According to June’s testimony, she said that Michael introduced her to his private investigator, Anthony and Michael told her: “He can find out anything. He is really good at this.” This was when June still sided with Michael.

See this content in the original post
  • Gill Garcetti, district attorney in LA, admits that the 18-month investigation did not lead to anything incriminating against Michael. She also states: “Michael Jackson is presumed to be innocent as any citizen in this room is, if they are not convicted with a crime. We are not charging Michael Jackson with a crime.”

  • November 12, 1995, Jordan emancipates himself from both biological parents. They screwed up his entire life up and at the age of 14, he legally removed himself from their parental care. Tells you a lot.

  • In 2005, Jordan reported that he has gotten in many physical fights with his father where Evan would choke him, battered his head with a 12lb dumb-bell, and sprayed him with mace.

  • Till this day Jordan Chandler lives a life completely seperate life away from the public. He also refused to testify against Michael when more allegations came up later on. He has made up with mother after not speaking to her for 11 years (this is something that June testified to in a trial).

  • Jordan ended up suing his father in 2006 for almost killing him.

  • My favorite one: May 7, 1996, Evan who does not quit with his greedy ass, tries to file a charge demanding more than $60 million from Michael AND a record deal so that he could release a musical album about the alleged sexual molestation of his son. The lawsuit gets thrown out of Court in 2000. An album…about your son’s….alleged sexual molestation??? I would @ him but he killed himself in 2009.

  • Evan also tried to sue Michael because he believed Michael’s album “HIStory” breached their confidentiality agreement.

  • In 2012, Lily Chandler, aka Jordan’s sister, was reported liking a few posts about Michael on Weheartit. It’s as if that family knew the whole story was based on money greed. I mean I can’t imagine liking pictures of the man who so-called ruined by family and hurt my brother.

  • Due to Jess’ help, she actually showed me that Latoya is a victim of media abuse because she still has a bad reputation and no one took her domestic violence story seriously. Like her brother, the media isn’t interested in the truth. Michael and Latoya were very close and she was very protective of him. When he died in 2009, she was the family member that had authorization over his body and when the police wanted to take his hand prints, she didn’t trust the paparazzi to not take pictures of him in his casket. In his casket, he was wearing gloves so she would cover his face first with one glove at a time while they were taking the prints.

Maybe one day we can cover a story on Latoya.

Does anyone else have a headache or feel like they will see Evan popping into their nightmares? This case from day 1 had no evidence besides Evan having 15 mental breakdowns daily, and trying to brainwash Jordan into thinking Michael touched him.

  1. They never wanted to go to court which proves that they wanted this case to be settled in large amounts of money.

  2. The moment Evan heard his attorney say that Evan was willing to testify in court, he fired her because again, he didn’t want to go to court—he just wanted a huge settlement.

  3. He wanted Michael to take part in his weird screenwriting dreams, get paid $20 million dollars, have a huge house built for him with Michael’s money, did not want to testify in court, was recorded many times having back-up plans such as excuses and threats as to what would happen if he did not get what he wants. He was also physically abusive to Jordan’s step-father, wanted to sue Michael again in 1996 for $60+ million dollars after the case was closed AND wanted a record deal so he could sing about Jordan’s alleged molestation. Then in 2009, he proceeds to shoot himself—after Michael was murd—I mean, passed away.

How insane is this timeline?

Evan must’ve thought, “Well with Michael dead, there’s no one else I could squeeze money out of, so might as well just end it here.” None of Evan’s family members went to his funeral and he had no friends.

“Actually, there was no one there,” said a member of staff at the Jersey City funeral home which organized the service. “We were instructed that no one would want to go. It was very sad. They still haven't decided what to do with the ashes.”

This case shows how evil and greedy people are when it comes to money. The Chandlers were doing fine being good friends with Michael, the children were happy and so were the parents, but Evan’s greedy evil Satan ass, saw this as an opportunity to accuse an innocent person and ruin Jordan who is probably in therapy right now.

This whole plan stems from Jordan’s father and after all, he was under the manipulation of his parent considering he was a LITERAL CHILD. Jordan probably hated Evan for the rest of his life for taking away the friendship he had with his idol, for greed and money. Don’t forget the part about Jordan not speaking to his mother for 11 years.

Here’s a very recent picture of Jordan with his mom and family. This is actually a very rare picture that you won’t be able to find from a quick Google search and I only have it because of Jess so once again, thank you!

There are so many stories of Evan being a greedy, crazy, psychopath, but I didn’t wanna spend this whole post writing about him and going into great detail about it when I know many of you just want the facts of the case.

Square One Documentary

Going back to the amazing Jess and the flawless research that she has presented to me on Michael Jackson (not just this case, but literally everything), she’s part of the team behind this incredible documentary that I watched the night before the post went up (not the smartest decision considering how much helpful it would have been to watch it before this post’s publication). She is the marketing director of this documentary and you can check Jess out on Twitter here. She’s very sweet and was extremely helpful.

I urge you guys to check out this documentary. It’s available at https://squareonemj.net/ for FREE. It’s created by an incredible team who has worked so hard. Their official hashtag is #SquareOneMJ so if you want to tweet about it or something, use that hashtag to show them your support.

Check out Danny Wu, who started the documentary on Twitter or Youtube.

The documentary has things that the media hasn’t told you about such as Jordan’s college experience and how he said that he doesn’t believe any of the allegations made later about Michael. Yeah, I’m just as shocked.

When I watched it and I saw that it only had 300k views on Youtube, I was shocked. THAT’S how good it is. It deserves 10 million views. Their official site says that they are releasing a second version soon, so be on the lookout for that because we definitely are.

So this is the full 1993 allegations case. There are articles and pieces of information that have written things about this case and the Chandler family to the smallest detail, but if I wrote every little piece of information I found, this case could be 3 different posts on its own. However, I’ve researched and read articles for MONTHS about this and what I say in this post is the main points all wrapped up. Another thanks to Jess for helping with the updated version!

Michael Jackson performing at the 1995 VMAs.

I’ve worked really hard on gathering information for this post and making it the most accurate timeline ever, considering how controversial and sensitive this topic is, so I really hope you enjoyed it and it clarified a lot on the case that we often hear about, but don’t know the true extent of.
