Chappell Roan Is a Problem: Inside Claims About Her Behavior Behind the Scenes
Chappell Roan has to be careful before the 3 minutes of fame she’s complaining about, get replaced by the industry’s next hot thing. Unless you’ve achieved legendary status, something Chappell is quite far from, there is no security behind whether or not you’ll reign on top for more than a season.
And once the downfall comes crumbling… so will the tea come spilling. And you know who likes to talk the most? Those behind the scenes.
Innocently watching. Getting scolded. Following orders.
If you're not familiar with security-gate, here’s a recap.
Soccer player Jorginho claimed that during a stay at a hotel in São Paulo in March 2026, his 11-year-old daughter, Ada, was left in tears after being aggressively scolded by a security guard for simply smiling at Chappell Roan as she walked past.
Mind you… this little girl is the DAUGHTER of Jude Law, a legendary British actor. So it wasn’t one of Chappell’s regular victims.
How many other people did this happen to that didn’t have a famous parent putting the situation on blast?
The story quickly took off online, but Chappell pushed back, saying she never saw the interaction, didn’t send anyone over, and that the guard wasn’t part of her team—adding that she didn’t even know the girl was a fan. The situation took another turn when security guard Pascal Duvier came forward, took full responsibility, and confirmed he was not working for Chappell.
Jorginho’s wife, Catherine Harding said that the security guard was in fact Chappell’s and not hired separately by the hotel. He’s someone in the industry known for protecting artists, so she maintains that Chappell was essentially lying.
This of course came after multiple incidents of Chappell yelling at fans for filming her, saying she won’t take pics with fans, berating paparazzi, and demanding respect.
This and more is all explored in The Problem with Chappell Roan deep dive:
This video also goes into the story of her reportedly lying about being poor, acting like she’s too cool for the Grammys, but begging for one behind the scenes.
While most people would argue that the security guard is at fault here, my source disagrees, and not just because Chappell is responsible for her staff.
“I’ve heard one too many stories of Chappell reportedly berating staff if anyone gets close to her. Even if she stops for a photo, someone else gets a mouthful behind the cameras,” my source says.
Basically… everyone walks on eggshells with her.
And you could see this play out in the video where Chappell points at a fan signaling to the guard who he should come after.
@dailymailau In the brief clip, Chappell was seen signaling to her security after she realized she was being filmed from afar. She briefly flicked her finger to point in the direction of the fan before falling in line behind her guard. The guard, who had a very stern look on his face, then looked up, pointed directly to the person behind the camera and appeared to call out as he strode towards them. #chappelroan #security #sydney #celebrity #news ♬ SLAYYYY - 𝐴𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦👨🏾🦯
Are you trying to tell me this doesn’t look like a condescending “do your job correctly” move?
The tight-lipped smile, the “do I have to do everything” demeanor. I mean, it’s just crazy to watch.
Regarding the March 2026 São Paulo incident, my source says:
“I’m pretty sure the ‘he doesn’t work for Chappell’ angle is a PR spin and the security guard was likely compensated. He reacted that way because she would have flipped out on him otherwise. Someone’s gonna get it. Either the fan. Or the people working with her.”
So what I’m getting from this is that the security had to react the way he did or else he would have gotten his beating from Chappell.
The way you treat your staff says everything about you, and if this is the case for Chappell, then she has to count her days.
Another source tells me a story, which gives me the impression that it’s not just guards who have an issue with Chappell, but likely anyone who comes in contact with her.
“She is a complete total narcissist, a horrible person, and she wants all the attention on herself,” my source says.
The whole “I don’t want attention and I want to be left alone,” usually translates to “I want attention, please give it to me NOW.”
Perfect example: her flipping out at the paparazzi on the carpet for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS movie.

What a great way to take the attention off of your friend’s big night and make all the press talk about you being a hooligan. It’s giving serious victim complex.
And there are other examples of this happening behind the scenes that will eventually resurface.
I love how she’s quick to demand respect, but doesn’t give it to anyone. Papparazzi are your colleagues, especially at an event. I will rot, camp, and procreate on this hill.
Any celebrity who doesn’t actually know what it’s like to be hounded like Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, or Taylor Swift… don’t get the “complain about paparazzi card.”
And shout out to Taylor, who understands that the most and has the brain capacity to register the mutual relationship here.
My source tells me that because of all these shenanigans, no one wants to work with Chappell and it won’t be long until she burns out and comes begging for the fame she quickly dismissed.
Nothing cracks me up more than that Paris video where she’s filming the 5 fans and photographers there.

Just making a damn scene for no reason and the irony is her coming up to them and being in their space filming them.
Looking at her like “wtf lmao”
I originally respected Chappell because I was like she stands on business, she left her agency over ties to Epstein, and she calls it like it is.
But it’s all performative if you’re a menace behind the scenes.
You really don’t need to use your imagination here because Chappell acts this out in public.
While I respect the boundaries she’s trying to enforce, being newly famous for 8 minutes… I don’t respect how she treats people and her obsession with attention.
It’s funny because I remember one of you guys asking me if she’s rude because of her paparazzi outbursts and I said something like “nah she’s just tough and stands on business.” And that used to be what was happening. She was being applauded for—what did Sabrina say it was? Oh right, whipping them into shape.

Things definitely got to Chappell’s head because now she actually thinks she’s a martyr!
What did she get out of it?
An embarrassing drag by a famous soccer player (he read her for filth, sorry)
Banned from performing at a festival by the Rio de Janeiro Mayor
Staff walking on eggshells behind her
People not wanting to work with her
Fans feeling on edge with her
At least have a decade of real fame under your belt if you’re gonna start barking.
What do you guys think? Is this a learning moment for Chappell or is she gonna double down and yell at me in the comment section? Let me know!
