DailyESMG: Selena’s smart strategy with fans.

Oh my god! This is the first Selena based post of 2016! Well this isn’t actually a post, but just an update. 

Selena is always being praised as one of the few celebrities who adores her fans, but any veteran ESMG reader knows that’s far from the truth. Back in the beginning of the blog, we actually had a page about fans and their rude fan experiences with Selena. You can check it out here. 

I’m not going to be repetitive and throughly explain everything since this is a DailyESMG post and it’s not meant to be lengthy. 

Selena is definitely the smartest person in the industry, by far. The way she handles herself is AMAZING. I recently found out one thing regarding her fans. 

So you know there’s a certain group of Selenators who usually meet Selena when she’s in their city. They meet her so often to the point where she knows them. They’ll tell her their Twitter account and she’ll follow them. Now here’s the smart part. She will stalk them on Twitter for a little while and if she sees they have a large following on social media, she’ll make sure to be extra nice to them if she runs into them because they are considered reliable. Why? Well when they meet her, they’ll obviously film her and they will clearly post that on Twitter for everyone to see. So then the video for example, will gain a lot of popularity and everyone will be like “Omg Selena meeting fans is so goals!” So she will be extra “cute” and “bubbly.” She could go from being rude to the sweetest person ever in 0.0002 seconds, if she sees that you’re filming. 

Anyways, so those certain fans that she knows, she will usually give them a VIP type of treatment since she knows they will go spread the word. That VIP treatment can consist of exchange of phone numbers, gifts, tickets to concerts, rides home when she’s in their city, etc. Why? It’s not because Selena enjoys their company, but it’s because she’s smart and is using them. They’re free promotional advertisements for Selena. Genius. I’m sure she’s already done that already and you can find that on Twitter, but it’s a dailyesmg post and I’m not going to be doing research. 

What happens to “irrelevant” fans? Well they’ll get a rude experience like the following. This is @explicitbizzles ‘s experience. 

Do you think people believed her? The ones who already know Selena is a psycho, believe that experience. The others don’t and with great reason. You’re gonna believe a written experience over a video? I know the experience is real, I just understand why it would be hard to believe. 

Selena is a genius. 

Come on everybody! Applaud her and give credit where it’s due! She’s insanely smart. People say I’m a fan and you right! I am a Selena fan. I love her work (plotting, deceiving, manipulating, it’s not as easy as it seems!).
